Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty extends his warmest congratulations and appreciation to the faculty staff members for their great efforts and outstanding performance, which were culminated in accreditation of the following programs:
1.Computer Engineering and Control Systems.
2.Production Engineering and Mechanical Design.
3.Spinning and Weaving Engineering,
from the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education and Accreditation.
The Faculty Council No. (568) was held on Monday, May 16, 2022 at ten o’clock in the morning in the Conference Hall, with the application of precautionary reserves, the council was chaired by prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty in the presence of heads of departments, directors of specific programs and representatives of some external community institutions.
The session was opened by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty where his Excellency:
⁃ Offered words of welcome to all the attendees.
⁃ Extended words of condolences on the martyrdom of a lieutenant and ten soldiers of the armed forces, seven of the heroes of our armed forces following a terrorist attack in Rafah area, North Sinai. The death of Prof. Dr. Yahya Hussein Ebeid, former president of Mansoura University. The death of the father of Prof. Dr. Eid Abdel-Baqi and the death of father of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abd Aleem Yaquoot.
⁃ Expressed his appreciation that Prof. Dr. / Mohamed Awad, Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, was chosen among the editorial board for (Energy Nexus) magazine affiliated to the publishing house (Elsevier). The magazine includes 64 editors and editorial board members from 25 countries.
⁃ Briefed the council about the six students who were selected for a training scholarship at the American University of Louisville.
⁃ Informed the attendees about the finals of the Foot Volley Championship for students of Mansoura University, which is being held for the first time inside Egyptian universities under the auspices of the Egyptian Federation for Recreational Games, implemented and supervised by the Faculty of Engineering.
⁃ Mentioned that the University Center for Career Development at the Faculty of Engineering, in cooperation with the Student Union of Mansoura University and the family of Students for Central Egypt with the Popular Defense Forces represented in Military Education at the university, organized a visit to the Air Defense College in Alexandria.
⁃ Displayed the photos of the government distinction visit and the visit to the medical program for postgraduate studies at Ghoneim Center.
⁃ Presented the youth care activity, including ( memorizing the holy Qur’an and the chess competition at the level of university students, with the participation of 12 faculties on the new stereo chess court inside the faculty).
⁃ Congratulated the Departments of Production and Design Engineering (PDE),Textile Engineering (TXT), and Computer Engineering and Control Systems (CSE), for their accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, and thanked the Quality Team, headed by Prof. Ibrahim Badran, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit.
⁃ Spoke about the renewal of all 11 accredited programs in the faculty as they were given 5 years to complete the quality decision.
⁃ Presented the activities of the Career Development Center during the month of April such as: workshops or the organization of the Innovation Day.
⁃ Spoke about the second engineering forum, which will be held on Wednesday and Thursday, May 18 and 19, 2022, where a market witnesses the presence of all scientific teams and student families in the faculty, in addition to presenting their various activities and projects throughout the days of the forum.
At the end of the council, His Excellency presented a video of appreciation, gratitude and thanks to Prof. Dr. / Mohamed Al-Shabrawy, the former Dean of the Faculty for the efforts made by His Excellency during his tenure. Prof. Dr. Sherif Massoud, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, spoke about Prof. Dr. Shabrawy and his rich history. A certificate of appreciation was offered to Dr. Mohamed El Shabrawy’s daughter.
Then, His Excellency moved to discuss the topics on the agenda and took decisions on them with the esteemed members of the Faculty Council.

⁃ congratulated Prof. Dr. Tawakkol Anab for being promoted to a professorship in the Department of Production Engineering and Mechanical Design.
⁃ spoke about the honoring ceremony that took place at the faculty for the ideal mother, which included honoring (7) mothers.
⁃ praised honoring Prof. Dr. Mervat Abu al-Khair by the university administration as ideal mother.
⁃ praised the participation and victory of faculty teams in a number of competitions:
⁃ (Breaking in ) team won first place in the leaders league competition, third place in smart cities hackathons competition, and fourth place for Mansoura motorsport team in the “Electric Car Rally” competition.
⁃ briefed the attendees on the importance of “The Energy Management System” training course which took place at the faculty over three consecutive days from 29 to 31 March,2022, in cooperation with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization.
⁃ spoke about the Scientific Research Day that was held in the college on March 29, 2022.
⁃ presented statistics carried out by him on the evaluation of the scientific departments assessing both the educational and research process.
⁃ congratulated the Department of Civil Engineering (CIV) for its accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
⁃ spoke about the renewal of the faculty’s accreditation, in detail.
⁃ commended the visit of the Egyptian Research Reactor Nuclear Complex in Inshas which is affiliated to the Atomic Energy Authority. The visit was carried out by a number of faculty members in the Department of Production Engineering and Mechanical Design.
⁃ noted what was done regarding the gift of the month of Ramadan, which was presented to all members of the administrative body and support system.
⁃ formed a committee to determine the criteria for releasing the names of faculty symbols on some stands.
⁃ spoke about the revolution of new projects, which took place till 17/4/2022.
⁃ spoke about the PV project, according to which solar cells are used to generate energy, and in which the Egyptian state contributes to its cost expenditures.
⁃ commended the proposal of manufacturing a solar-powered golf car in the faculty, he also welcomed the offer of the Environmental Affairs Agency to build a station in the vicinity of the faculty at the expense of the Agency, in order to measure pollution because it has a beneficial effect on community service, especially within the university, and to benefit from that in the field of Research, master's and doctoral theses.
It was decided to hold a student meeting for the preparatory level on Monday, 16-5-2022 in Amphitheater 23a, the second period.
The meeting will introduce the Civil and Environmental Engineering - Sustainable Water Engineering program with a credit-hour system.

Registration has been opened for the general course of intellectual property presented by the National Intellectual Property Academy in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, which will end on May 8, 2022, the course begins on May 9, 2022 and ends on June 26, 2022. At the end of this course, The trainee has an accredited certificate from the World Intellectual Property Organization, the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, and the National Academy of Intellectual Property.
This course has been very successful, especially in recent years, as it has been offered three times annually, after it was offered twice every year since 2016.

The General Course of Intellectual Property is a course dedicated to compliance with Egyptian law by the National Academy of Intellectual Property in cooperation with WIPO. The course consists of 13 units. When the course begins, the trainees download the material to read, after the first week has passed, the trainees can communicate with the trainers through the discussion forum platform to exchange information and respond to inquiries. At the end of the course June 26, 2022, trainees will take an exam, then receive a certificate offered by WIPO, the Academy of Scientific Research and the National Intellectual Property Academy.

Under the joint cooperation among Mansoura University, AlAlamein International University and University of Louisville,America. Six students from Mansoura University obtained a scholarship in 2022,summer for three months at the University of Louisville. The financing of the scholarship is completely afforded by the University of Louisville whereas travel costs will be afforded by the University of Mansoura. This comes under the fruitful cooperation and the signed agreements, including 2 + 2-level, among University of Louisville and six ancient Egyptian Universities. The universities are: Assiut University, AlAlamein International University, Alexandria University, the University of Mansoura, Helwan University and Banha University.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty offered a symposium for members of the administrative staff of the faculty in the field of human development, evaluating functional behavior and developing skills for working efficiently and in dealing with others, under the title
"Ethical Code in the Work Environment".
The symposium started around ten in the morning in Prof. Dr. Rashad Al-Badrawy’s hall, where His Excellency addressed various axes including: The axis of moral code in the profession’s environment, where the person must begin to apply to himself first then measure against himself what he wishes to measure on others after that using the same measurement ruler.
Ethical code axis and what it includes from the ethics of the profession in terms of objectivity, efficiency, confidentiality and integrity.
The axis of the professional ethical code, including the virtues of loyalty, belonging, respect, performance of responsibility and efficiency of performance. The axis of work ethics, including the virtues of honesty, mastery, patience and good manners.
The axis of professional work ethics and its sources, where the behavior of the professional work has been clarified. The individual and the compass directing his behavior is his living conscience and clarification of the prevailing values in society and the regulations for the conduct of work and the profession, freedom of religion and adherence to the law, the focus of the principles of professional work ethics in terms of transparency, clarity, impartiality, non-violence, compliance with laws, avoidance of harm to others, equal opportunities, rejection of bribes, various forms of gifts and protection of confidentiality.
The focus of the concept of behavior in the work environment, where it was clarified that the behavior is outward represented in words and actions or inwardly representing feelings and ideas.
His Excellency stressed that the normal relationship that should be between employees is the relationship of work and cooperation within the limits of work performance without going beyond this area to the peculiarities of the other, the focus of the ethics platform, where the application of good qualities was emphasized and away from what is opposite.
