Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, chaired a meeting regarding restructuring the administrative staff. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Badran, Director of the Quality Assurance Unit, and Mr. Nasser Al-Badawihy, Director General of the Faculty, participated in the meeting which was on Monday, December 27, 2021 in Prof. Dr. Al-Saeed Ashour’s hall.
The meeting targeted holders of doctorate and master’s degrees, holders of Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Science and workers in the administrative body of the faculty , in order to redistribute them for their technical support to the faculty laboratories and to benefit from their experience, so that the faculty laboratories achieve the greatest benefit from them. This is essential especially after the boom of renovations and constructions that took place, not to mention the purchase of expensive devices to complete their readiness and uniqueness by winning the competition in terms of quality and accuracy of performance.
A medical lecture entitled ( Corona Virus, Types of Vaccines and Necessary Actions) was held in the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, on Tuesday, 21/12/2021.
Dr. Salwa Daoud from the University’s Administration provided the attendees with important information about Corona Virus and different ways of protection.

As a result of the scientific excellence that the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, enjoys under the leadership of prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim and the sincere hard work of the faculty’s staff and members, there has been a leap of achievements recently. The faculty has become a platform and a scientific shrine to which attention is drawn and scientific trips flock to it to satisfy their desire to see scientific horizons and edifices that push them to achieve a better future.
On Thursday, December 16, 2021 a delegation from the Electronic Technical School visited the faculty after the approval of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, dean of the faculty and supervision of prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development. Dr. Eslam Ismail professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering, gave an insightful lecture about different departments at the faculty, nature of the study and work opportunities available for graduates of the faculty. During the scientific trip, the delegation visited a number of laboratories, workshops and halls of the faculty.
The scientific trip program ended at about twelve thirty in the afternoon.

The Faculty Council No. (563) met on Monday, December 13, 2021 at 10 a.m., in the hall of Prof. Dr. / Al-Saeed Ashour.
◦ Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering chaired the session. This was in the presence of the Vice-Deans of the faculty, heads of faculty departments, managers of specific programs, experts, and some officials of external community bodies.
◦ At the beginning of the meeting, His Excellency welcomed all the attendees, members of the Council, and then extended words of thanks to all the employees of the Faculty of Engineering for their sincerity and the excellence of their work.
◦ His Excellency congratulated Prof. Dr. Al-Shafei Bedir Mahmoud, Department of Mechanical Power Engineering, Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Atef Youssef, Department of Irrigation and Hydraulics and Assistant Prof. Dr. El-Sayed Abu Al-Anwar, Department of Mechanical Power Electrical engineering for the promotion.
◦ His Excellency mentioned what happened in the scientific conference held by the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering.
◦ His Excellency praised the excellence of the electronic exams experience that took place at the Faculty ’s Electronic Test Center, due to its positive impact.
◦ His Excellency gave a brief idea about the participation of the Faculty of Engineering in the National Strategy Conference to Confront Climate Changes until 2050 and Energy Transition in Egypt: from Glasgow to Sharm El Sheikh, Prof. Dr. Galal Othman, Professor of Renewable Energy Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering and Vice President of the World Wind Energy Association represented the faculty in this conference.
His Excellency presented a final report on quality work during the months of November/December 2021, as well as the external visits to the faculty programs. Ali Ismail, the President of the Student Union of the faculty and his deputy , Mahmoud El-Khouly, attended the council meeting Prof. Dr. Abdel Azim offered words of encouragement and motivation to them.
His Excellency spoke about the projects of the fifth phase that are being carried out in the faculty, as the construction of the following laboratories is underway: Heavy Facilities Factory (Structural Engineering Department), Roads and Airports Factory (Public Works Department) ), Internet of Things lab (Computer Engineering Department), Integrated Optics Lab (Physics Engineering Department), Water Quality Control Lab (Chemistry Engineering Department), Solar Energy Lab (Electrical Engineering Department), Satellite Lab (Communications Engineering Department), Wireless Communications Lab (Department of Communications Engineering), Transportation and Traffic Laboratory (Department of Public Works Engineering), Systems Dynamics and Vibrations Laboratory (Department of Production and Design Engineering)
His Excellency mentioned the projects that will also be developed during this phase, namely: the headquarters of the Graduate Studies Department, the headquarters of the Department of Cultural Relations, the headquarters of the Scientific Journal, the headquarters of the Engineering Studies Unit for the issuance of licenses, and the headquarters of the Research Office.
His Excellency stressed the importance of applying for funded research projects. Prof. Abdel Azim urged faculty members to apply for various awards, as the Faculty of Engineering has great experienced professors.
His Excellency emphasized the necessity of maximizing the use of faculty laboratories after developing and equipping them. His Excellency put forward a proposal which was discussed in the council; the proposal suggests the presence of a faculty member in the lab supported by a research team to do a research project. This proposal was put forward, especially after the completion of the basic infrastructure and the readiness of the laboratories to conduct any research.
Prof . Dr. Abdel Azim assigned Prof. Dr. / Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development the task of redistributing holders of a Bachelor of Engineering, Science, masters and doctorate holders to work in the appropriate places in the college according to their specializations.
He also emphasized the necessity of continuous training for all employees of the Faculty of Engineering.
The entrance examination for students applying to enroll in the master’s and doctoral degrees in the spring of 2022 will be held in the scientific departments of the faculty on Monday 10/1/2022. There will be a possibility of holding an online exam for students applying outside the country. The Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, has become a platform for attracting distinguished experts and implementing national projects. It has also become a distinguished place that attracts the implementation of sustainable development ideas.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, received, on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in his office at eight o’clock in the morning, a delegation from The USAID and the University of Arizona in the United States, in the presence and participation of: Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Prof. Ahmed Hamed, Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
The attendees went to the office of prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Baset to finalize negotiations which aim at activating The Excellence Energy Center Project in the faculty of engineering. After that, all the attendees went back to the faculty, where a number of the
faculty ‘s laboratories, whether developed or newly established were visited. The delegation were impressed with the amazing, well-established and well-equipped laboratories. After that the delegation met with a group of faculty staff members and researchers in the field of energy. The topics that were discussed could be an area of joint cooperation in terms of research or training.
The Student Projects Unit organized a workshop entitled "Financial and Non-Financial Services Provided by the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Agency ", on Monday, 13/12/2021 at Prof. Dr. Rashad Al-Badrawy Room.
Both Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim, the non-financial services officer, and Mr. Al-Metwally Bedir , the financial services officer at the Small, Medium and Micro Enterprise Development Agency in Dakahlia Governorate provided the attendees with important information about the agency. Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim explained the various means of non-financial support provided by the agency to startup companies, whether in the stage of idea formation or in the stages of administrative procedures and facilities for obtaining the necessary licenses to conduct activities through the "one-stop shop" system. He also talked about information services and integration among projects funded by the agency that save the time and effort needed to find suppliers and partners. He has also explained the concept of business incubators and what is meant by this service provided by the agency. Mr. Al-Metwally Bedeir, on the other hand, explained how to benefit from the financial services provided by the agency to emerging companies, which include soft loans with simple decreasing interest, as well as payment facilities and the value of loans that may reach ten million pounds. He reviewed a number of successful and inspiring experiences of a number of successful models of entrepreneurs who were funded by the agency's office in Dakahlia Governorate to be a guiding beacon for the promising students of the college.
