“Draw Your Future” initiative conference, which is one of the axes of Decent Life Initiative, launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in 2019, was held in Prof. Dr. Magdy Abu Rayyan Conference Hall at the Faculty of Engineering on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
The conference was attended by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Professor Dr. Sherif Al-Badawy, interim dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and AP. Dr. Abeer Tawakul, coordinator of Decent Life Initiative at Mansoura University, AP. Dr. Mahmoud Saafan, The rapporteur of the initiative, Mr. Nasser Shaaban, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education in Dakahlia, and Ms. Amal Al-Sayed, Undersecretary of Sherbin Educational Administration.

Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, reviewed and discussed the efforts made so far within the framework of the initiative. He presented a number of statistics and figures that illustrate the results of this effort. The focus during the meeting was on the social and economic aspects of the initiative, which aims to improve the quality of life for citizens is one of the goals of Mansoura University towards the external community. He also stressed the importance of concerted efforts between the university and the external community to achieve the goals of the initiative, and that the application of the initiative must be expanded to include more regions and social groups.
Professor Dr. Sherif El-Badawy interim dean of the Faculty of Engineering, also spoke that “Decent Life” initiative will continue to improve the quality of life for citizens. It was emphasized that the Faculty of Engineering, with the expertise of its great professors and its financial capabilities, will continue to support the initiative and enhance its efforts to achieve its goals, and that is one of the priorities of the faculty’s interests, and the faculty of engineering is fully prepared to provide more and more in the future, whether it is asked to participate or to come forward voluntarily, and this is a national duty that has no alternative.
Then, AP. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol, responsible for implementing the Decent Life Initiative, said that “Decent Life” project is a social initiative that aims to improve the quality of life of individuals in society, and provide support and assistance to people facing financial or social difficulties by providing health care, education, employment, and housing, and that the implementation of the project is carried out by directing resources and efforts towards providing support to families with limited income and individuals who suffer from poverty and need, the project includes several initiatives, including building social housing for families in need, providing education and vocational training for young people, providing health care to patients with limited income, providing job opportunities for job seekers, and achieving a better living.
At the end of the conference, the students of “Draw Your Future” were honored.
