The Faculty of Engineering celebrated the 15 th of Shaaban, two sheikhs from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif were invited to deliver a short religious speech, where they referred to the great virtues of the holy month, as our deeds are raised to Allah, in this special occasion, we must pray for Allah to forgive us. We should take full advantage of tho month leading to Ramadan. A large number of the administrative staff, support services and a number of students of the faculty attended the celebration. A question- answer session took place. The celebration of this fragrant memory was concluded by listening to religious music, chanting and supplications.

The second activity of the "Understand - Share" initiative, together to combat corruption, began on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, with a symposium on "Governance and Anti-Corruption - Mechanisms and How to Implement" at the Faculty of Engineering, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater - President of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Meligy - Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, supervised by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim - Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sahar Sidqi - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Dr. Samah Hafez - Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Community Service Affairs and “Anti-Corruption” team leader.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim highlighted the importance of these initiatives in spreading awareness, he mentioned the various types of corruption, including those related to work environment and the scientific field, with reference to our current situation. Prof. Dr. Samir Aboul Fotouh, elaborated how to use modern technologies to eliminate corruption, tax evasion, financial and administrative corruption, he noted moral corruption through the use of mechanisms and technologies in an immoral manner, and reviewed appropriate mechanisms to combat corruption in accordance with governance mechanisms.
Engineer Tharwat Fath Al-Bab, a member of the Senate, referred to the blessing of security, safety and expertise that Egypt enjoys, he encouraged the continuation of reforms because of their impact on future generations, and the tangible changes and reforms that will occur. Major General Dr. Abdelwahab Al-Raey referred to the importance of the fight against corruption and that it must be carried out with the participation of civil society with state institutions, the fight against all types of corruption in order to achieve progress. Dr. Ibrahim El Gohary, Assistant Professor of Accounting and a member of the Anti-Corruption Team, referred to governance as the most important priority in fighting corruption and eliminating it and its causes as a good administration based on transparency, participation, combating corruption, achieving justice and non-discrimination.

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, a delegation from the Electrical Engineering Department visited Bedo Factory for Engineering and Technical Educational Equipment in the Industrial Zone of 6th of October City on Thursday, March 2nd. 2023 at ten o'clock in the morning, in response to the invitation from the factory to the faculty, the delegation was headed by Prof. Akram Al-Metwally, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, and the delegation included: Dr. Mahmoud Hamouda, Dr. Mohamed El Gohary Hassan, Eng. Asmaa Abu Al-Ezz, members of the faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department, in addition to a number of students of the department. The delegation made tours inside the factory with the company's reception team to find out about the latest equipment and various manufacturing methods that characterize the factory. The factory is characterized by the presence of a team of engineers specialized in research and development to produce various electronic equipment and devices with international quality. A team from the factory provided a detailed explanation of the parts of the factory and its various products, they responded to the various inquiries and questions of faculty members and students.

This morning, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, held an extensive meeting with the Center for Studies, where he inspected the documents and the position of all engineering operations assigned to the Center for Studies. He also directed his instructions to correct some matters and intervened in some operations to overcome obstacles in their regard.

Within the framework of implementing the activities of the Energy Excellence Agreement between the Egyptian universities: Ain Shams, Mansoura, Aswan and the University of Arizona, United States, in addition to participating in supporting and achieving the sustainable plans of the Egyptian state in the field of renewable and sustainable energy.
Today, Thursday, March 2, 2023, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision and coordination of Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedqi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Director of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program, a delegation from The University of Arizona visited the Faculty of Engineering, it is composed of the coordinator of the University of Arizona Energy Agreement, prof. Sayfe Kiaei and
Clark Miller, Professor of Energy at the University of Arizona.
The activities of the delegation's visit began at exactly ten o'clock in the morning, where a protocol meeting was held with His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim and the faculty administration, they discussed research projects, student exchange, and the next steps of the agreement. Then they moved to the Pioneers' meeting room, where Prof. Clark Miller delivered a lecture on "How to Increase Energy Efficiency and its Relationship to Well-Being" where a large number of faculty members and students attended, then prof. Sayfe Kiaei met with students and faculty members, where she answered students' inquiries about student exchange. The delegation visited a number of the faculty's laboratories related to the agreement and discussed how to benefit from the agreement to develop the laboratories.
Then the visiting delegation left the faculty at about 2:30 in the afternoon.

The Fulbright Commission announces the opening of application for Fulbright programs for Egyptian students and professors in all scientific and literary fields, as well as programs for American experts and professors for the academic year 2024/2025, which include granting Egyptian graduates, professors, and professionals to study, conduct research, and vocational training in the United States of America. These scholarships are fully funded and cover all expenses for accommodation, health insurance, and travel to the United States of America, in addition to tuition fees.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, held a meeting this morning with the Center for Studies, where he advised them to adhere to applying the Egyptian code when designing or supervising any project. He also ordered to purchase two copies, a soft copy and hard one of all Egyptian codes related to work at the Studies Center, he mentioned the importance of providing the Center's engineers training courses on how to apply the Egyptian codes. The needs of some of the Studies Center's engineers related to their work have been listened to and approved.
