Agenda Discussion

The Faculty Council discussed and made decisions on the topics included in the agenda.

 A training course titled “Self-evaluation of Educational Programs for Colleges and Institutes of Higher Education” was held at the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University from December 26 to 28, 2024. Organized by the Quality Assurance Unit, it aimed at faculty members and was led by certified trainer Prof. Dr. Alaa El-Din Al-Naanaey. The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance educational quality under the direction of Prof. Dr. Sherif Masoud El-Badawy and Prof. Dr. Mervat Muhammad Abu Al-Khair, focusing on self-evaluation as a critical component in assessing academic programs.

 Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Dr. Tarek Mostafa Ghalwash, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, supervised by Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty, and Prof. Dr. Amira Yassin, Vice Dean for Community Service, and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Marwa Hassan, Director of International and Cultural Relations.
A delegation from Sinop University, Turkey, represented by Prof. Mohi El- Din Yelmaz, vice president of the university for education and student affairs, visited the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University on January 21,2025. The visit aimed to enhance academic and research collaboration under the Erasmus program, facilitated by university leaders including Prof. Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater and Prof. Dr. Tarek Mistafa Ghalwash. The delegation toured various laboratories, including those focused on solar energy and artificial intelligence, expressing appreciation for the faculty’s modern facilities and technology.

 Prof. Sherif Masoud El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty, along with the esteemed vice deans, extends heartfelt congratulations to all Christian staff on the occasion of Glorious Christmas. Wishing them and their families a Merry Christmas filled with joy and peace.

 A meeting was held with faculty members and the assistant staff on December 24, 2024, to ensure the smooth conduct of examinations and maintain order for the benefit of students. The meeting aimed to clarify rights and responsibilities and ensure proper conduct towards students during exams. Dr. Mostafa Saqara, Director of Legal Affairs at the college, delivered a lecture on recent amendments to the regulations concerning examination procedures, under the guidance of Dean, Prof. Dr. Sherif Masoud El-Badawy, and Vice Deans Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky and Prof. Dr. Amira Yassin Heikal.
