Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, a ceremony was held honoring outstanding students from the different academic years, with the aim of motivating, encouraging and supporting them. The ceremony took place on the land of excellence that is; the Faculty of Engineering, in the hall of Professor Dr. Magdi Abu Rayan. With the participation of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahdi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Sabry, Dean's Advisor for Student Activities, and Students for Egypt Organization.

The Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, organized the Renewable Energy Day, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, and the leadership of Prof. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Director of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program, on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in Dr. Magdy Abu Rayan Conference Hall. Today's activities took place from ten in the morning until two o'clock in the afternoon, in the presence and participation of a group of faculty members and specialists in the field of renewable energy, namely: Prof. Dr. Walid Al-Khattam, Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Ain Shams University and a grant advisor for the Center for Energy Excellence, he delivered his speech on “Introducing the Energy Excellence Agreement”, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Galal Othman Who delivered his speech on "Renewable Energy Projects in Egypt and Jobs of the Future", Prof. Dr. Kamal Al-Nahhas, Head of the Water Sector at Suez Canal Authority and a consultant for water purification and treatment plants, he delivered his speech on "Renewable Energy and Water Desalination", Prof. Dr. Hassan Rakha, First Undersecretary of the Authority Former renewable energy and consultant engineer in the field of renewable energy, he delivered his speech on "Renewable Energy and Climate Change", Mr. Hatem El Romy Chairman of Triple M for Renewable Energy Group, who delivered his speech on "Renewable energy applications to support the national economy and sustainable job opportunities", Eng. Ahmed Fahim, Director of Renewable Energy Plants Construction, he delivered his speech on "How to turn the desert into solar energy plants", engineer Rabab Manea, Energy management systems expert at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNDID), and Dr. Amr Hamza, Ph.D. in Bioenergy - Chief Engineer at Children's Hospital, he delivered in his speech a "small-scale device for the production of bio-methane fuel"
The Day of Renewable Energy at the Faculty of Engineering comes to highlight the importance of the clear strategy adopted by the Egyptian state towards caring for clean, environmentally friendly renewable energy that is safe for human health, by benefiting from studies, research, applications and opinions of a group of officials, faculty members and specialized experts who were invited on the Energy Day and their effective, fruitful participation in Renewable Energy Day. The attendees indicated that renewable energy aims to meet the challenges and set a road map for Egypt's future on the renewable energy map for the world. They also spoke of the Egyptian government’s approval to implement a large number of projects that depend on environmentally friendly renewable energy, including the electric train project and the 50-megawatt solar photovoltaic plant in Zafarana, green hydrogen production in the economic zone of the Suez Canal and on the Mediterranean coast, wind energy projects with a capacity of 25 megawatts in the Gulf of Suez, and many other renewable energy projects. The great development witnessed by the energy industry at the regional and global levels. At the end of the Energy Day Activities, students of the Energy Program and participants in the activities were honored, certificates of honor were distributed to the attendees.
Today, Thursday, September 29, 2022, a large number of faculty students were trained according to Huawei Academy Training Program, which is one of the strongest training programs adopted by Dr. Abeer Tawakkol, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Director of Huawei Academy at the Faculty. Dr. Abeer took the responsibility to continue implementing the joint cooperation between Engineering and the Academy to provide the students the opportunity to get a suitable job and compete in the local, regional and even global labor market.
In the framework of the directions of Prof. Dr. / Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Center for Technical, Laboratory and Scientific Services to work on developing and improving both services provided to its clients and the speed of completion of reports and test results, the Technical Committee, Mechanics Laboratories moved to the headquarters of the Arab Cotton Ginning Company Meniet Samannoud - Aga Center, on Thursday, 29/9/2022, to conduct technical inspections and tests for cotton gin boilers, aiming to ensure their safe operation, as well as determining the maximum safe operating pressure to be recorded on their licenses.
It is worth noting that the technical committee formed to perform the required tests includes: Dr. Walid Al-Awadi and Dr. Muhammad Rajab Al-Mirghani, Department of Mechanical Power Engineering. The inspection and examination took place in the presence of Eng. Ahmed Al-Naqash, head of the Cotton Gin, Eng. Ali Othman, deputy of the Cotton Gin, and Eng. Yasser Al-Nufaili triage official.
The field visit to the company comes within the center’s work plan towards documenting effective interdependence between the university and the community and helping to provide appropriate Egyptian technology by using the faculty’s technical, laboratory, scientific capabilities and expertise to interact with the current and future engineering needs of the university and society, as well as expanding the circle of clients at the level of all institutions and sectors.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, extends his sincere congratulations to the Egyptian state, president, government and people on the occasion of the celebration of the forty-ninth memorial of the glorious October War victories. He also sends congratulations to the First General, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of Defense, Military Production, armed forces veterans, arms commanders, all non-commissioned officers, soldiers of the armed forces, and families of the martyrs, wishing our beloved country continued security and safety, and may God preserve our great Egypt on the occasion of this national memorial.
On Wednesday, 28/9/2022, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim Mohamed - Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Sherif Masoud Al-Badawy - Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Ahmed Hussein Abdel Rahman - Director of the Scientific Research Support Unit celebrated signing contracts of the internal fund project for full-time scientific research.
Providing full support to faculty members for scientific research, obtaining funded research projects, and publishing research in international journals. Nine (9)faculty members representing different departments signed contracts.

In continuation of the activities of Huawei Academy training program which took place at the faculty of Engineering, under follow-up and coordination of Dr. Abeer Tawakkol, Director of Huawei Academy, explanation of the artificial intelligence program was continued within the framework of interaction between students and a group of distinguished engineers in the halls of the specific programs building at the faculty, which witnessed complete readiness to complete the program training for students efficiently.
