As part of the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University’s commitment to introducing new students to the specific programs available in the faculty and providing them the opportunity to choose the most suitable academic program, the orientation day for the specific programs was held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, in Prof. Rashad El-Badrawy Hall at 11:00 AM.
The introductory day meeting was held under the patronage, coordination, and supervision of Prof. Sherif Masoud El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty, with the attendance and participation of Prof. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs.
The event was organized by Prof. Amira Yassen, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Mohamed Hassan Mansour, Director of the Mechatronics Engineering Program; and Assoc. Prof. Asmaa Al-Awady, Director of the Student Projects Unit.

Event Activities:

1. Speech by the Dean of the Faculty
   • Welcomed the new students and provided an overview of the scientific departments and specific programs at the faculty.
   • Explained the nature of study at the faculty and the skills required for academic and professional excellence.
   • Encouraged students to achieve academic excellence and participate in various university activities (sports, arts, cultural).
   • Highlighted the faculty’s distinguished ranking among engineering faculties, the laboratories, and the facilities available to support students and graduates.
   
2. Introductory Presentations of Specific Programs
The program directors and their deputies gave brief presentations on each program:

   • Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hussein – Deputy Director of Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program

   3. Student Teams Participation
The Mansoura Robotics team, BSA team, and Breakin Point team spoke about their scientific and practical activities and student scholarship opportunities.
   4. Presentations by Faculty Departments
Mr. Karim Shawky, Director of the Studies and Examinations Department, and Ms. Rania Hafez, Director of Specfic Programs Student Affairs, explained the academic study and registration procedures for new students. The faculty’s ideal student of the year 2025, Manar Hossam, a graduate of the Mechatronics program in 2025, shared her experience with scholarships.
   5. Guided Tour of the Faculty
Faculty officials and Ms. Abeer El-Toukhy, Director of Student Laboratories Management, led a tour covering:

Students expressed their happiness in learning about the specific programs and study opportunities at the faculty and praised the guided tour, which helped them directly explore the faculty’s facilities and laboratories.
