 Nominations are now open for the 4th edition of the King Salman Global Award for Disability Research, organized by the King Salman Center for Disability Research under the patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Winners will be announced in October 2026 across these categories:

- Medical and Health Sciences
- Educational and Psychological Sciences
- Rehabilitation and Social Sciences
- Technological Applications in Disability
- Universal Access

The award recognizes institutions, scientific bodies, and researchers who have made meaningful contributions through high-quality research that advances disability fields, improves the quality of life for people with disabilities, supports innovation, and fosters regional and international research collaboration.

Each winner receives 500,000 Saudi Riyals, along with a medal and certificate of appreciation.

The UNESCO organization announces the opening of nominations for the 2026 UNESCO – King Hamad Bin Isa Al-Khalifa Prize for the Use of Information and Communication Technology in Education. This year's theme is "Rethinking Creativity and Critical Thinking Using Artificial Intelligence."

The prize targets projects and initiatives that show how teachers and learners interact with AI systems in ways that preserve their ability to think, excel, and imagine. It rewards evidence-based practices that boost human creativity and address the potential negative impacts of AI on mental abilities across all education levels.

The Chinguitt Prize Council announces the opening of nominations for the 2026 award, aimed at honoring outstanding research in the fields of Islamic studies, sciences and technologies, and literature and arts.

Prize value per category:
Five million old ouguiya;

Eligibility criteria:
Nominations are open to Mauritanian and foreign researchers, higher education and scientific research institutions, and cultural associations.
Submitted works must demonstrate creative excellence and solid scientific grounding in their field.
The submitted work must meet these conditions:
- No more than three years since its publication or presentation.
- Not composed to obtain a university degree.
- Not previously awarded a prize.
