On Monday, February 19, 2024, the Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs Sector at the Faculty of Engineering organized a seminar as part of the tours of the “Know Your Country... in Egypt’s tourist attractions” initiative, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, the leadership of Professor Dr. Sherif El-Badawy, interim dean of the faculty of engineering, Professor Dr. Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Latif, Dean of the faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and the supervision of Professor Dr. Amira Yassin Heikal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Professor Dr. Doaa Samir, Vice Dean of the faculty of Tourism and Hotels for community service and environmental development affairs. The seminar was presented by Professor Dr. Sarah Ali Hamayel, Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, in which she provided an informative presentation talking about most of the tourist places in Egypt. She also addressed some inherited traditional behaviors whose habit goes back to very ancient times, and which are still used now, especially in rural places, as was clarified during the seminar, tourism in Egypt is a very important source of national income, whether recreational, religious, or medical tourism.
