Mechatronics Engineering Program
In the modern era, several disciplines, most notably mechanics, electronics and systems engineering, have overlapped in order to create modern applications that did not exist before. Applications such as robots to raise production efficiency in factories, or to perform various services for people, would not have seen the light without intermarrying such specialties. Even cars, or power plants, which were previously the domain of mechanics and electrical forces, are now equipped with sensors and control devices that have increased their efficiency, improved safety, added new functions so that the electronics and programmed control chips represent a significant percentage of the cost of the facility or the car. In general, the Embedded systems that achieve electromechanical functions and include some of the intelligence represented by software carried on electronic chips have invaded our lives in various industrial and service applications. This represents the field of mechatronics.
