The Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University Hosts a Workshop Entitled "Renewable Energy in Egypt, Opportunities and Challenges"

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of the University, the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, a workshop on renewable energy was organized by Dr. Asmaa Al-Awadi, Director of the Alumni Follow-up Unit on Saturday, December 17, 2022, in Prof. Magdy Abu Rayan, amphitheater at eleven in the morning.

Dr. Muhammad Al-Khayyat, Director of the New and Renewable Energy Authority, gave a highly informative workshop that was in the presence of a group of faculty members, supporting staff, and a large number of students of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program and other students of the faculty.

He talked about sources of renewable energy in Egypt, energy management, their integration into smart networks, and the risks and challenges facing them.
He also mentioned that Egypt is the first country in the Arab region to implement the Arab Renewable Energy Initiative, and that the Egyptian state is moving strongly towards the production of clean energy such as generated energy from the sun, wind and water, which depend on them in many sectors of the state, such as the transportation sector, referring to the successes achieved by the state by establishing a number of huge production stations, which have pumped billions to invest in this important and vital strategic field.
Then, many questions and inquiries were presented by the attendees, both members of the faculty, the supporting staff and the students, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khayyat provided the necessary clarifications in this regard.
At the end of the meeting, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khayyat was honored and thanked for his efforts and valuable information.

This workshop ended at about 2:30 in the afternoon
