McMaster University Representative Visits Mansoura University’s Faculty of Engineering to Discuss Postgraduate Cooperation
As part of the Memorandum of Understanding between the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, and McMaster University – represented by the McMaster Institute for Transportation and Logistics in Canada – concerning the exchange of engineering students from Mansoura University to pursue fully-funded master’s and doctoral studies at McMaster University, Dr. Moataz Mohamed, the University’s official representative, paid an official visit to the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, on Sunday, October 19, 2025.
During the visit, Dr. Mohamed met with Prof. Dr. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of Mansoura University for Postgraduate Studies, Research, and Cultural Relations; Prof. Dr. Sherif Massoud El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; and Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Lotfi El-Kalla, Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research. The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Osama El-Rawy Shahda, Assoc. Prof. in the Department of Public Works Engineering and coordinator of the agreement.
The discussions focused on reinforcing the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding, exploring the possibility of extending similar collaborative agreements to other departments at McMaster University, and developing frameworks for joint supervision of postgraduate students from both institutions.
Dr. Moataz also paid a visit to the Museum of Fossils at the Faculty of Science.
At the end of the visit Prof. Sherif El-Badawy presented Dr. Moataz Mohamed with a shield on behalf of the Faculty.
