As part of the Faculty of Engineering – Mansoura University’s commitment to honoring its distinguished scientific and administrative figures, the faculty organized an honoring ceremony for Prof. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Al- Rwad Hall. The ceremony was held on the occasion of the end of her term as vice dean and her reaching the official retirement age.
Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University; Prof. Sherif El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty; Prof. Amira Yassen Heikal, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; along with a group of department heads, directors of specific programs, heads of special units, faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative staff, and employees of the faculty.
During the ceremony, the Vice President of the University delivered a speech expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation for the notable achievements and fruitful efforts made by Prof. Sahar Sedky in serving the faculty and the university. He also emphasized that her appointment as vice dean during his tenure as dean proved to be a wise and fitting choice. The Dean praised her dedication, competence, and excellent cooperation throughout her time in office, affirming that the faculty will not forget her clear impact on supporting the educational process and enhancing the services provided to students. The Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development also commended Prof. Sahar Sedky’s graceful cooperation, refined conduct, and efficiency in fulfilling her role, highlighting her work as a source of pride for everyone.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Sahar Sedky held many academic and administrative positions, including Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, Director of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program, and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs before assuming the role of Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, leaving behind a record full of dedication and achievement.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, commemorative gifts were presented and group photos were taken in an atmosphere filled with joy, appreciation, and gratitude for her sincere and long-standing contributions.
