The Integrated Training Program for the delegation of the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University in Iraq has concluded.

On Wednesday, August 20, the integrated training program dedicated to training students from the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University in Iraq concluded. The program lasted for three days. Prof. Sherif El-Badawy, the Dean of the College, handed certificates of training to the trainees. He also emphasized the College of Engineering’s keenness to build bridges of cooperation and strengthen scientific and cultural relations with the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University in Iraq, which contributes to the exchange of experiences and supports students academically and culturally.

The training began on the previous Monday, where the training day was divided into two parts. The first part included practical training for the students in the laboratories of the Electrical Engineering Department. Eng. Hesham El-Beltagy and Mahmoud El-Kassas trained the students on the principles of electric machines and the design of various electrical systems. The second part included training in the computer laboratories of the department, where Eng. Ali Henidy explained the included systems and the various artificial intelligence technologies to the students.

The second day began with a lecture on the management and design of electrical networks, presented by Eng. Lamia Saleh, Director of Planning Management at the North Delta Electricity Distribution Company. Then, the students moved to the solar energy laboratory accompanied by Eng. Mohamed El-Maadawy, where they learned about solar cells, their function, and applications.

Afterwards, the students moved to the Nanotechnology Center where Dr. Fatima Mohamed Abdelaziz and Prof. Islam Ismail, Director of the Biomedical Engineering Program explained the nanotechnology techniques used in various fields such as drug manufacturing and precise medical instruments. The second day concluded with a presentation by Salah El-Din Zahir, a student of the Biomedical Engineering program, about his graduation project, a blood analysis device.

The training program concluded with a visit to the Egyptian Liver Institute and Hospital in Sherbin. Dr. Mahmoud Saad accompanied the visiting students to train them on the maintenance of various medical devices. The students were introduced to the medical equipment in different hospital departments such as radiology, endoscopy, operating rooms, intensive care units, clinics, and sterilization devices. Dr. Mohamed Ezzat, Head of Training and Technical Support, along with Eng. Ahmed Hamed, medical devices maintenance supervisor, explained the important role of engineers in maintaining medical devices and the different stages and procedures of maintenance in each department.

This program is one of the integrated training programs serving various engineering specializations. It was implemented in cooperation between the Technical, Laboratory, and Scientific Services Center at the College of Engineering, the North Delta Electricity Distribution Company, and the Egyptian Liver Institute and Hospital in Sherbin. The program aims to enhance and develop students’ skills, combining academic foundations with practical experience and industry.
