Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, Won the Second and Third Places in the Huawei International Competition in China
Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, congratulates Mansoura University; for Two teams, from the Faculty of Engineering won the second and third places in the Huawei International Communication and Information Technology Competition, which was held in Shenzhen, China, for the year 2022-2023, with the participation of 146 teams from 36 countries around the world.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, praised the level of the students who won in the international competition in China, stressing that the university provided all aspects of support to students, and overcame all obstacles that faced them; to participate in the activities of the competition, stressing that Mansoura University is a distinguished entity that continues to give through creative students, loyal professors, and entities that do not stand at a certain limit of success.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, said that Mansoura University encourages its distinguished students and supports the outstanding ones, praising the determination of the students and their insistence on excellence and raising the slogan of Mansoura University everywhere, especially the two teams representing the Huawei Academy in the Faculty of Engineering who won first positions qualifying for the final competition in the city of Shenzhen, China, and the meeting of students of Faculties of Engineering and Computers with the President of the University.
The Dean of the Faculty of Engineering added that the Huawei Academy at the Faculty of Engineering is the latest training entity, which has made great strides through its Director Dr. Abeer Tawakul, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, praising the great support provided to the trainees; to achieve the university's vision in line with the national strategy for higher education, by supporting creativity and innovation as one of the important principles of the strategy.
It is worth noting that, on April 2, 2023, the Huawei Academy team at the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, consisting of the student / Amir Muhammad Shtayyeh, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, student / Christina Maher Halim, Faculty of Computing and Information, Mansoura University, and a third student from the Faculty of Engineering, Kafr El-Sheikh University, won first place. At the level of Egypt and the second at the level of Africa, so that the team is one of three teams representing Africa in China in the final competition in the specialty Cloud, where this team won the third place in the final competition, and the student / Yasmine Rizk, a student in the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, participated in Networks specialty and her team won second place in the final competition.
