Within the framework of the visit of Dr. Alaa El-Ashmawy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education and his team, to Mansoura University, he made an inspection visit to the Faculty of Engineering, it has been chosen because of its distinguished participation inside and outside Mansoura University, the tremendous structural development, its amazing staff and wise leadership.
The activities of the visit began today, Sunday, May 28, 2023, where a protocol meeting was held between Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Alaa El-Ashmawy, and the visit team. After that, an expanded meeting was held in Prof. Dr. Rashad El-Badrawy Hall for Conferences, where the hall witnessed the presence of the vice deans of the faculty, director of quality unit, heads of departments, directors of programs, director of the strategic planning unit, a number of members of the administrative staff, students, and representatives of some institutions of the external community.

The meeting began with the presentation of the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr., Mohamed Abdel-Azim, in which he clarified some points, including: the history of the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering since it was an institute, then how it turned into a faculty until its golden jubilee was celebrated a few days ago, and the faculty’s winning first place at the level of the Republic in the Governmental excellence competition, the readiness that took place in the faculty for the amphitheaters and classroom halls, the development of laboratories, the establishment of new laboratories, and the rehabilitation of a large number of them is being completed for accreditation, the change that has been made to all the regulations in force in the faculty after the expiry of the previous regulations, the existing interdisciplinary programs in the faculty that are approved in number and type, the number of awards achieved by students locally, regionally and globally, and full support to encourage and motivate them, the effective and continuous participation provided by the faculty in (Hayah Karima) a decent life and for the university as an engineering arm for the governorate and for companies and factories of the external community, protocols for cooperation and partnership with factories in the process of field training for students, making protocols International cooperation with international universities, whether in the undergraduate or postgraduate levels, by obtaining a dual degree for the student, or in the field of training with international companies such as the Huawei Academy, under supervision of Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakul, Director of the Huawei Academy Branch, which is located within the faculty. His Excellency has talked about the interest in scientific research and granting a remunerative fee for that to the faculty members, and the interest in community participation as a kind of consolidation of the bonds of interdependence, activating the practice of sports activities, paying attention to practicing high-end artistic activities that aim as a kind of maintaining psychological balance, sound thinking for students, and creating a healthy educational environment.

Then the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education delivered a speech, where he mentioned in his speech his deep thanks and appreciation to the Dean of the Faculty and to the team work of the faculty. He expressed his deep satisfaction with the great achievements, and the number of awards obtained by the Faculty of Engineering, wishing the faculty continuous excellence and success.
Then Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, honored: Dr. Alaa El-Ashmawy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education, Prof. Dr. Asma Mustafa, Vice President of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education for Pre-University Education, by presenting the Golden Jubilee Shield of the faculty. The shield of the Faculty is an expression of celebration and appreciation for their sovereignty.
Then the visiting team made a tour in which they inspected some places in the faculty; the Physics and Chemistry Complex, the Internet of Things Lab, BIM Water Quality Lab and the Stereoscopy Lab, Student Services Lab, Workspace, the Electronic Testing Center, the Solar Energy Lab, the Art Lab architectural.
