Today, Sunday, July 31, 2022, the Faculty of Engineering organized a ceremony for the largest number of openings that have taken place in the faculty since its establishment in 1957 until now. This was under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Baset - Mansoura University President, leadership and initiative of Prof.Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim - dean of the faculty of engineering, effective participation of Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahdi - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy - Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research.
A group of university deputies, faculty deans, members of the Parliament and chairmen of the board of directors of companies attended.
Indeed, it is a marvelous day with great inauguration of a huge number of projects, a day marked by the greatness of the values of seriousness, excellence and sincerity, a day that proves the love of the great entity, a day which proves that it is not impossible with the presence of a strong will and possession of mechanisms and how to maximize their use, the day that its harvest needs an analysis on how to combine the conscious, accomplished national management with leading a harmonious productive work team, one day in the record of the successive luminous achievements of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty.
It is worth noting that today (19) projects were inaugurated:
1. The Internet of Things lab.
2. A wireless communications network laboratory.
3. A space innovation lab
4. Building systems information lab BIM-LAB.
5. Architectural models lab construction.
6. Building halls complex: two halls with a capacity of 100 students for each hall, with an extension to an evaluation hall.
7. Transport and traffic lab.
8. Heavy facilities plant.
9. Integrated optics laboratory.
10. Dynamic vibration laboratory.
11. The microscopic examination lab.
12. The road and airport lab.
13. The administrative headquarters for postgraduate studies, the magazine and cultural relations.
14. The administrative headquarters for legal affairs.
15. The solar energy plant with an attached administrative and educational headquarters.
16. Official photoession headquarters.
17. Water quality control laboratory.
18. Architectural arts lab.
19. Development and modernization of the survey laboratory.
In line with the foregoing and in continuity with the great celebrations witnessed today, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, held a meeting with members of the administrative body in Professor Dr. Magdy Abu Rayan Conference Hall at exactly, 01:30 p.m., to celebrate the occasion of the accreditation of the faculty’s programs, where His Excellency granted certificates of appreciation to all members of the teaching staff, the supporting staff and members of the administrative staff, in appreciation and celebration for both the effort expended in accrediting the faculty’s programs and the achievements of the faculty.

On the other hand, from within the Faculty of Engineering and during the celebrations of the grand opening, Professor Dr. Abeer Tawakkol took an interest in following up the progress and explanation of the children’s course, where they were trained on the basics of simple electronic circuits. They were also given a simplified explanation of the definition of the code, in addition to her participation in the faculty celebrations.

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, a meeting took place on,Thursday, July 28, 2022.
Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, chaired the meeting with Prof. Dr. Hani Al-Ghazali, Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, and Dr. Bishoy Al-Qass, a lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering. The meeting was about how to raise energy efficiency in Egyptian universities project, under the supervision of the Supreme Council of Universities and the German Construction Bank.
The attendees discussed and exchanged views regarding the project, how to raise energy efficiency, they made an inspection tour of the faculty places, especially the lecture rooms, laboratories and halls to settle on the most suitable places for the implementation of the project in them, timelines for project implementation, and how to maximize the use of energy management.
The American Institute of International Education announced the winning of four student teams (three undergraduate teams and a postgraduate one) from the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University in partnership with the following American universities:
University of San Antonio, Texas USA and Ball State University, USA.
Outperforming their peers from other regional and international universities in the Middle East (MENA), they have been selected as winners of the HIVER (Using Innovation through Virtual Exchange to Achieve Better Results) competition as shown in the list below, and the winning students whose departments are (The Department of Civil Engineering – Building and Construction Program – Department of Electrical Engineering) will travel to Washington, D.C., August 20-25 to participate in the final round of the competition.
It is worth mentioning that the Faculty of Engineering - Mansoura University is the leading faculty in this project in Egypt, as it has participated in this project for three successive semesters. A number of joint courses with American universities were virtually taught to students from both universities. Congratulations to the winning students.

Today, Wednesday, August 3, 2022, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, and implementation of Ass. Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol, Associate Professor of Electronics and Communications.
Prof. Dr. Mona Al-Wazir, professor in the Department of Architecture and a team of specialists, explained a course on the basics of architecture for children aged 8 -16 years, children were trained to conduct experiments and implement manually, during the activities of the course.

(8 -16 )years for the children continued on Wednesday 27 July, 2021.
It’s the initiative of Dr. Abeer to take care of staff children so as to widen the scope of their knowledge, build self confidence and raise awareness level. The children will get the most out of their learning experience with a combination of lively classes with specialist instructors and interactive independent study all in a safe learning environment. Today’s topic was about space and energy.
The course took place in the work space halls , Specific Program Building.

In addition to consolidating the educational and research mission of the faculty and an interest in linking the academic side with practical application, in accordance with the requirements and needs of the external labor market, which aims to graduate a distinguished engineer capable of innovation at the regional and global levels. The projects competition was held among the faculty students, with the arbitration of elite engineering professors from other universities, a number of industrialists and specialists related to project topics.
Today's activities began with the reception of the arbitrators in the office of the Dean of the Faculty , then they headed to the headquarters of the Student Projects Exhibition, where the projects were discussed, and then the results of the winning projects were judged according to specific criteria.
The meeting concluded with honoring the arbitrators and giving them certificates of appreciation for their efforts, as well as giving the students participating in the organization certificates of appreciation.
