Ain University Delegation Praises Leadership and Readiness of Mansoura University's Faculty of Engineering
As part of implementing the academic cooperation protocol between Mansoura University and Ain Iraqi University, under the patronage of Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, and Prof. Haider Abdul Amir Marhoun, President of Ain University, the Faculty of Engineering welcomed the Ain University delegation today, Sunday, February 15, 2026. This visit formed part of the official program during which the President of Ain University and his accompanying delegation are touring Mansoura University to explore ways to strengthen joint academic and scientific collaboration across various fields.
Prof. Cherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, received Prof. Haider Abdul Amir Marhoun, President of Ain Iraqi University, and his delegation in his office, in the presence of:
- Prof. Mohamed Abdel Azim – Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs
- Prof. Tarek Ghalwash – Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research Affairs
- Prof. Sherif Massoud El-Badawy– Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
- Prof. Ashraf Shouma – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine
- Prof. Yasser Lotfy – Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry
- Prof. Ghada Al-Quanishy– Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs
The Ain University delegation included:

During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of expanding academic cooperation, exchanging scientific expertise, developing joint graduate programs, and enhancing research partnerships. This aligns with Mansoura University's internationalization strategy, Egypt's Vision 2030, and the state's push to deepen ties with brotherly Arab universities. Ain University's President also expressed his institution's eagerness to host Mansoura University's graduate programs in medicine, dentistry, and engineering, reflecting confidence in the university's outstanding academic and research standards.
The delegation's visit to the Faculty of Engineering stood out as a key stop on the official itinerary, given the faculty's prestigious academic standing, advanced infrastructure, cutting-edge research labs, and vital role in education, scientific research, and community service — making it a model within the university.

The tour covered several standout facilities and labs, including the Center of Excellence for Energy, Solar Energy Lab, Architecture Engineering Studio, Internet of Things Lab, Architectural Models Lab, Biomedical Engineering Workshop, Nanotechnology Center, Artificial Intelligence Lab, and Student Affairs Department. The visitors learned about the latest equipment and technical capabilities, with detailed explanations on linking scientific research to industry needs, supporting applied projects, and updating curricula to match modern technological advances.
Delegation members voiced their admiration for the high level of organization and preparation, the readiness of labs and classrooms, and the seamless integration of teaching, research, and practical applications. They affirmed that the Faculty of Engineering serves as a cornerstone for advancing academic collaboration between the two universities.
