As part of the Faculty’s plan to achieve international accreditation for its service laboratories from the Egyptian Accreditation Council (EGAC), the Faculty of Engineering welcomed on Monday, January 5, the follow-up visit team composed of:
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Farag Tahoun, Associate Professor at the National Institute for Standards
- Eng. Mohamed Abdelsalam Nasser, Technical Director of the Calibration Laboratory

The visit aimed to complete the procedures for accrediting the Mechanical Testing Laboratory and the Materials Properties and Strength Laboratory by EGAC in accordance with the approved standards.

During the visit, the follow-up team reviewed the quality systems applied in both laboratories, the technical and administrative procedures, the efficiency of equipment and facilities, the level of qualification and training of staff, and the degree of compliance with relevant standard requirements.

The team expressed their great appreciation for the efforts exerted within the laboratories, praising the level of organization, the integration of the quality system, and the clear commitment to implementing accreditation requirements. This reflects the Faculty Administration’s dedication to enhancing technical and administrative performance and achieving the highest levels of efficiency and quality.
