Two Orientation Meetings on Examination Procedures for Assistant and Administrative Staff

In line with the Faculty of Engineering – Mansoura University’s commitment to ensuring the proper conduct of examinations and the consistent application of relevant laws and regulations that uphold fairness and equal opportunity among students, two orientation meetings were held on Sunday, 21 December 2025, at Prof. Rashad El‑Badrawy’s Meeting Hall. The sessions were delivered by Dr. Mostafa Saqara, Director of the Legal Affairs Department at the Faculty.
The first meeting, held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., was attended by members of the administrative staff. It focused on clarifying the legal articles, regulations, and instructions governing examination work, with special emphasis on the administrators’ role in precisely implementing these guidelines and maintaining order during examinations.
The second meeting, conducted from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., brought together assistant staff members, including teaching assistants and assistant lecturers. It aimed to unify understanding of the legal and organizational frameworks related to examination supervision and the responsibilities of invigilators inside examination rooms.
Both sessions covered key topics such as:
• Adherence to official examination committee instructions and avoidance of personal interpretations of regulations.
• Distinguishing between acts of cheating, attempts to cheat, and disruption of exam order.
• Ensuring impartial and fair treatment of all students.
• Outlining correct legal procedures for handling cheating or attempted cheating incidents.
• Maintaining discipline and calm to provide an appropriate examination environment.
• Reinforcing that the ultimate goal is to manage examination processes fairly and responsibly without prejudice or legal risk.
At the conclusion of each meeting, time was allocated for open discussion and questions from participants to ensure unified understanding and smooth implementation of the regulations throughout the examination period.
These meetings reflect the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to promote administrative and academic excellence, ensure fair and orderly examination procedures, and uphold the rights of both students and staff members.
