Report on the Visit of a Delegation from Huawei to the Faculty of Engineering – Mansoura University

As part of the faculty’s ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation with leading global companies in the fields of technology and training, the Faculty of Engineering received a high-level delegation from Huawei on Monday, June 2, 2025. The purpose of the visit was to explore avenues of mutual collaboration between the two parties.

The delegation was welcomed by:
- Prof. Sherif El-Badawy – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
- Prof. Sahar Sedky – Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs
- Prof. Abeer Tawakkol – Director of the Artificial Intelligence Program and Executive Director of the Huawei Academy at the faculty.

During the visit, discussions focused on specialized training programs offered by Huawei, which are recognized globally for their excellence. The talks centered on how students and faculty members could benefit from these programs, and the possibility of integrating such training into the academic curriculum.

The possibility of including Huawei’s training programs as part of the official academic requirements was explored, particularly for departments such as Computer Engineering and Control Systems, as well as the Artificial Intelligence Program.

Further discussions addressed the alignment of the faculty’s regulations with Huawei’s programs. Both sides considered the potential for modifying or developing certain faculty bylaws to allow the incorporation of Huawei’s training content into academic plans, ensuring alignment with labor market needs and digital transformation trends.

Finally, both parties expressed their commitment to maximizing the benefits of this cooperation, with the aim of preparing a new generation of highly qualified students and graduates in advanced technological fields.
