The Faculty of Engineering and iWater Program Participate in the IWWI International Water, Waste & Infrastructure Exhibition and Conference 2024: ‘WATERS FOR TOMORROW’
The Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University is participating in the International Conference on Water and Wastewater Technology and Waste Recycling and Treatment Technology (IWWI), held concurrently with the thirteenth session of the ARWADEX Conference on Desalination in Arab Countries. This event is themed “WATERS FOR TOMORROW” and aims to address critical issues in water management and technology. The conference will take place from December 10 to 12, 2024, in Cairo, Egypt
Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif Masoud El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, coordination of Asst. Prof. Hassan Tolba Abu Al-Naga, General Coordinator of the iWater Program, and organization of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Reda Diab.
The iWater Program aims to enhance partnerships between universities and industry to achieve water sustainability by developing a Master’s degree in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM). This initiative is a collaboration involving Mansoura University, Ain Shams University, and the University of Cologne in Germany. Through this program, the institutions seek to foster cooperation, exchange knowledge, and create sustainable solutions for water management challenges.
The iWater Program showcased a distinguished pavilion, highlighting its role as a platform for cooperation, knowledge exchange, and partnership between academic institutions and industry to achieve water sustainability and establish an Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) Master’s program.
A special discussion session focused on digital transformation in the water and desalination sector to enhance water management and sustainability. This session was effectively managed by Dr. Hassan Abu El-Naga, featuring participation from Egyptian and German professors and experts, including Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University, and Prof. Dr. Ali El-Bahrawy from Ain Shams University.
The visit included faculty members, graduate students, and final-year project students interested in water engineering, management, law, and geography from various faculties at Mansoura University. Notable attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Reham Mohsen Ezz El-Din, Head of the Department of Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering; Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Awad, Professor in the Department of Mechanical Power Engineering; and Asst. Prof. Mahmoud Saad, Lecturer at Mansoura Engineering.
