Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, and Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky Kaddah, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Program Administration organized Energy Day on Saturday, November 30, 2024, in the hall of Prof. Dr. Rashad El-Badrawy. The activities of this day included lectures in the field of renewable and sustainable energy provided by a number of faculty members, engineers and a number of officials from the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy.

Dr. Mohamed El-Saeed Rizk, Program Director, opened the day by welcoming the guests.
Then, Dr. Adel El-Sadat, Professor at the Atomic Energy Authority at the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, delivered a lecture on nuclear energy in Egypt and its peaceful applications in addition to the opportunities and challenges in exploiting it to produce electricity.

Eng. Rabab Manea, Head of the Sustainability and Climate Change Sector at the Oriental Weavers Group, provided a lecture on the concept of sustainability and its reflection in the field of energy conservation, development and environmental conservation.
After that, Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Tawfik, Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Assistant Technical Advisor for the Energy Excellence Agreement at Mansoura University, gave a lecture on the services provided by the Energy Excellence Center for students.

Eng. Ahmed El-Shenawy, Electrical Energy Consultant at the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, gave a lecture on renewable energy projects in Egypt and the extent to which renewable sources contribute to electricity generation in Egypt and job opportunities for young engineers in this field.
Eng. Mohamed Hassan, CEO of Smart Home Solar Energy Company, gave a seminar on the installation and operation of solar cell systems, whether connected to the unified electrical grid or separate from it, and the important programs used to design these systems.
Eng. Ehab Farouk, General Manager of Testing at the Renewable Energy Authority at the Ministry of Electricity and Renewable Energy, gave a lecture on renewable energy activities and energy efficiency in Egypt.
Mr. Mohamed El-Manssan, Operations Manager at Creativa Mansoura, gave a seminar on Creativa Mansoura's activities in the field of entrepreneurship and supporting ideas and start-ups.
Finally, Eng. Abdel Rahman Mowafy presented a scientific research as a workshop for the joint research project.
