Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy - Interim Dean of the Faculty and Vice Dean of the Faculty for Postgraduate Studies and Research, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Sahar Sidqi Qaddah - Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Prof. Dr. Amira Yasin Heikal - Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, organized and supervised by Dr. Mustafa AlEl-Bahloul - Director of the Scientific Research Support Unit.

Today, Wednesday 28/2/2024, the Internal Fund Project contracts for the faculty members who won the project were signed at 1:30 pm in the College Council Hall.

Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy opened the session by greeting the attendees; vice deans, members of the board of directors, and faculty members. Then, he congratulated the winners of the internal funded project, explaining the criteria according to which the applicants were selected. The evaluation committee was keen to select contestants from various fields and specializations, Prof. Sherif confirmed that all applicants have distinguished scientific and research experience.

Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy praised the distinguished level of those accepted in the second call for the internal funded project, and stated that he supports those accepted and seeks to overcome all the obstacles they face, whether through faculty or university, in order to achieve the desired goal of the project, whether directly, such as developing laboratories and units, or indirectly through achieving sustainability and the presence of different research schools.

He briefed the attendees about the results of the first call projects, where the participants obtained projects worth 25 million pounds. The faculty’s publication rate also increased during the past year. It is worth noting that the evaluation committee approved the renewal of contracts for (5) contestants from the first call, for their distinction and also for the transfer of experience to other colleagues, this achieves sustainability.

Prof. Dr. Sherif El-Badawy concluded the session by signing contracts and affirming his full support for the winners.
