A delegation from RWTH Aachen University in Germany visited the Egyptian research team at Mansoura University through The German-Egyptian Mobility Program for Scientific Exchange and Excellence Development (GE-SEED), among the objectives of the research project is “Developing and characterizing conductive bitumen to improve the properties of self-sensing compressive resistance strain to monitor the quality of paving facilities,” which is funded by Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority. The visit lasted three days, during which members of the visiting research team, consisting of Mr. Chaoliang Fu and Mr. Li Luo, discussed the Egyptian partner represented in AP. Dr. Ahmed Metwally Awad (principal researcher), Prof. Dr. Sherif Masoud Al-Badawi (co-researcher), Prof. Dr. Alaa Rashad Jabr (member) and Eng. Ahmed Moanes Fouda (member) in implementing the project’s tasks, enriching the scientific research process, exchanging experiences, and strengthening cultural relations between the Egyptian and German teams. The visit schedule included getting to know Mansoura University, its facilities, and its most important laboratories and research centers, in addition to holding a scientific day through the exchange of presentations on the research fields of both teams.
