The Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, organized the Golden Jubilee Ceremony from May 8, 2023, to May 11, 2023, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, Mansoura University President, and the hard work, tremendous effort and organized planning of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of establishing the faculty, after the issuance of the Republican Decree on 25/4//1974.
On the first day, Monday, May 8, 2023, the activities began in Prof. Dr. Magdy Abu Rayan’s conference hall, after opening and inspecting the exhibition of the second engineering forum of the faculty, which was held on the sidelines of the celebration of the golden jubilee of the faculty, where the forum exhibition was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of the University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the faculty, and a group of academic leaders in universities, representatives of some sovereign authorities, the legislative authority, the House of Representatives, faculty members, the President of the Engineers Syndicate, community symbols and officials of companies, where the Engineering Forum included an exhibition of projects of scientific departments, specific programs, an inter- disciplinary postgraduate program and centers of specific nature, such as the Center for Studies, the Center for Services, the workshops units, Mansoura National University, and major companies and institutions in the external community.

After that, the national anthem was played inside the conference hall, then the verses of the Holy Qur’an were recited, an introductory video was played explaining the history and establishment of the Faculty of Engineering, the extent of its great contribution and achievements, its participation in the national projects of society and in the presidential initiative, in addition to working to achieve Egypt’s vision 2030. It was also clarified that the Facultyof Engineering has been established with the glorious victory of October and surpassed with the new Republic, and that it is the faculty that won first place in the government excellence award at the level of the Republic, in which about 500 public universities competed. He also mentioned that the faculty obtained three ISO certificates, and that it is the only faculty in the Delta region that has a high status and reputation which is characterized by the efficiency of the performance of its graduates, and is also distinguished by the number of departments, specific programs and postgraduate programs. The number of accredited laboratories, the updated regulations, whether at the undergraduate or postgraduate levels, the effective role of its distinguished professors and their great role in society, as Prof. Dr. Charles Shukry and his great role in building the High Dam, Prof. Dr. Ali El-Desouki in establishing the Scientific Computation Center at the university, Prof. Dr. Mounir Abdel Razek in the digital work system, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Jar El Alam in the sustainability system, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Fadel in the establishment of major water stations Prof. Dr. Fatima Al-Zahraa in the idea of ​​establishing the first interdisciplinary program, Prof. Dr. Hashem Ali, former Minister of Minerals in the State of Sudan, and the adoption of the Roads Laboratory and its role in updating the Egyptian codes, as well as the huge development boom in the scientific journal of the faculty and its publishing methods, as well as the partnership that took place between the faculty and a number of international universities for students, whether at the bachelor's level or post studies for the student to obtain a double degree, and the tremendous development in the centers of special nature, such as what happened in the development of the Studies Center and the transformation of its work mechanism into a company work system, and what the local and international classification of the faculty has reached such as the Shanghai Global Classification, and the role of the faculty’s Advisory Board to bridge the gap between academic study and practical application, as well as support Complete student projects to raise their scientific level and support them technically, athletically and culturally to work on their stability and psychological balance and build the personality of the future engineer capable of management and decision-making.

Then Prof. Dr. Muhammad Abdel-Azim began to deliver his speech in front of the honorable gathering, where he said that the faculty of Engineering is a great entity and that he is credited to all of his employees. Every graduate should be proud of belonging to such a great entity. We are celebrating fifty years filled with tender, achievements and great works that we all must know and pass on to the next generations to advance to a better future, just as today’s celebration of the faculty’s golden jubilee is a message of thanks, appreciation and gratitude from the current generation to previous generations, this entity is the one from which a number of heads of governmental, non-governmental universities and officials of national companies graduated with clear imprints in the advancement and development of many developmental fields. His Excellency also confirmed that all the achievements and awards are in the first positions, certificates and partnerships with scientific universities, winning competitions locally and internationally is not a coincidence, but rather the result of effort, sweat, and brainstorming of work teams that were formed and integrated among them in the Faculty of Engineering to produce what we are in and what we have reached now.
This is what prompts me to affirm that what we are describing and what we have achieved is not pride, despite its entitlement to that, or submissiveness. Rather, what we aim for and what we seek is to achieve the best in the future.
The ceremony was concluded with the honor of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater delivering his speech, in which he said that the celebration of the golden jubilee of the Faculty of Engineering today is nothing but a celebration of many symbols of science and giving, which led the movement of development and enlightenment in society and a series of achievements and valuable works for free, generation after other previous generations. The Faculty of Engineering will be the beginning of other breakthroughs and achievements greater and greater than what preceded it in the future, God willing, for the Faculty of Engineering to play its great role, which we have always entrusted with it through its administration, faculty members and administrative staff, because we always witness the distinguished hard work of the Faculty of Engineering. This is what made it stand out in the fields of education, scientific research and service to the external community.

Then a number of the faculty’s professors were honored: (12) former vice presidents and university presidents, (11) former faculty deans, (2) acting deans, (15) deans of Public, and private faculties (6) people with distinguished works, (2) external community officials, (8) former faculty trustees. The activities of the first day of the golden jubilee ceremony of the Faculty of Engineering ended at about 6:30 pm, and all the attendees left the conference hall.

Activities of the second day of the Golden Jubilee, on the second day, Tuesday, May 9, 2023, a number of workshops were held to maximize the benefit from the Golden Jubilee ceremony, where a digital transformation workshop was held, in which Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Moawad and Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Saafan spoke at exactly eleven o'clock, in the hall of Prof. Magdy Abu Rayan, a workshop was held about the history of the faculty, in which Dr. Ihab El-Sherbiny, Dr. Mona Al-Wazir, and Dr. Mamdouh Al-Minshawi, spoke at exactly eleven in the morning in Al Rowad Hall, and a workshop on Hayah Karima (a decent life) was held in which Brigadier General Ismail Moawad, Dr. Ahmed Kamal, and Dr. Muhammad Sabry, presented at exactly twelve thirty in the afternoon, in the hall of Prof. Dr. Magdy Abu Rayan, another workshop on student visions for the development of education was held, at twelve thirty in the afternoon in Prof. Rashad El Badrawy Hall, and a workshop for future jobs was held in which Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ziadeh spoke, the workshop director, Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakul, and organized by Dr. Mohamed Sabry, at exactly two o’clock in the afternoon in Prof. Magdy Abu Rayan Hall. A workshop was held on interprograms, in which Prof. Dr. Hassan Etman, the workshop director Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Din Salah, and Dr. Islam Ismail organized it, at exactly twelve o'clock in Prof. Rashad El-Badrawy Hall.

On the third day, Wednesday, May 10, 2023, several workshops were held: a workshop was held for companies, Dr. Muhammad Sabry, Dr. Ahmed Kamal, were the presenters, from eleven o'clock to twelve o'clock in the hall of Prof. Al-Saeed Ashour, a workshop was held about the industrial zones, organized by Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Mohamed Attia, at exactly twelve o’clock, in Prof. Rashad El Badrawy Hall, a BIM Technology workshop was held in which the CAD Masters Company spoke, under the management and organization of Dr. Ahmed Sarhan at twelve o'clock in the hall of Prof. Dr. Al-Saeed Ashour.
The Golden Jubilee of the Faculty of Engineering has ended, but the journey of tender, production, effort and success is still in progress under the visionary leadership of the great entity.
