The Faculty Council No. (577) was held on Monday, February 13, 2023 at exactly ten o’clock in the morning in Prof. Dr. Al-Saeed Ashour Conference Hall, the Council was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, in the presence of: faculty vice deans, heads of scientific departments and directors of specific programs, a representative of the legislative authority, and representatives of some external community institutions.
The session was opened by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty , where his excellency:
⁃ Welcomed all the attendees, congratulated them on the occasion of the Police Day and the January 25 Revolution.
⁃ Offered words of condolence on the death of: Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Aliwa, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Mahdi, former dean of the Faculty of Commerce, a famous symbol of Mansoura University, Prof. Dr. Abdel Rahman Amin, Prof. Dr. Abdel Mohsen Joudeh, Professor of Business Administration, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Maadawy, Professor of Oncology, and Eng. Sherif Ismail, former Prime Minister of Egypt.
⁃ Congratulated Prof. Dr. Nihal Fayez for heading the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, Prof. Dr. Lamis El Gizawy for heading the Architectural Engineering Department, and Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saleh as Director of the Communications and Information Engineering Program.
⁃ Congratulated the student, Mohamed Walid, for winning the swimming championship at the national level.
⁃ Praised the genius child, Omar Zaki, who was honored by his excellency.
⁃ Briefed the attendees about two of the important files that the faculty is currently preparing. The first one is preparation for the golden jubilee ceremony, which is scheduled to be held on April 26, on the occasion of its establishment, by converting the Industrial Institute into a faculty by a decision of the President. The second, is related to qualifying the faculty to obtain ISO in (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) in the areas of quality, environment, and occupational safety and health.
⁃ Praised what was done in the children's course in its third season for the children of faculty members and the administrative staff. His Excellency also thanked Dr. Abeer Tawakul, Director of the Postgraduate Program for Medical Engineering, for her efforts and interest in the course.
⁃ Talked about his daily meetings with the Center for Studies to make sure that all matters, whether administrative or executive, are done in a very serious and professional manner.

At the end of the meeting, winners of the administrative competition for the best administration and employee in the faculty for the year 2022 were announced, where the first three places won as the best administration are: Scientific Journal, Postgraduate Studies and Research Department, and Library Management .
The first three places, won as the best employee are: Mr. Ahmed Abu Al-Khair, Student Care Director, Ms. Rania Fouad, Director of the Scientific Journal, and Ms. Walaa Farouk, Quality Assurance Unit.
Then, His Excellency moved to discuss the topics on the agenda to take decisions regarding them with the members of the esteemed Faculty Council.
