Sessions of the Faculty Council
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, chaired the Faculty’s Council No. (561) for the month of October 2021, and the second session of the Council held in its current session for the academic year 2021/2022.
Prof. Dr. Abdel Azim initiated the council meeting by offering a welcome to all the attendees, then he congratulated them on 6th of October victories, Mansoura Air Battle on October 14, 1973, and on the Anniversary of the Birth of the Prophet (PBUH).
Prof. Abdel Azim offered condolences to great symbols who left our world.. He offered words of lament for the death of Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, the former Minister of Defense, and for Professor Mahmoud Mustafa Awad, the former Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University.
Prof. Abdel Azim also congratulated the promotion and appointment of some faculty members, he commended the efforts of the faculty members who were assigned as unit managers in the faculty and presented some of the workshops and scientific symposia that took place at the faculty.
His Excellency presented a statistic about the numbers that were vaccinated against the Corona virus.
His Eminence briefly explained the preparations for the new academic year 2021/2022 in all aspects, such as developing laboratories and establishing new ones, scientific seminars and workshops that students were invited to attend, beautifying the faculty, taking care of preparing places to exercise, holding a conference for each program and holding an exhibition for specific programs.
His Excellency informed the attendees about changing the regulations and implementing them, whether for scientific departments, accredited programs, or for postgraduate studies, as well as approving the start of the study with the new specific programs that the faculty had previously submitted. His Excellency briefed on the activities that took place in the meetings.
His Excellency mentioned that during the current month of October, a team from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education will attend to review four programs.
His Eminence invited all attendees for next Sunday, October 24, 2021, to participate in the opening of (17) laboratories, a number of these laboratories have been fully developed, and the rest of the laboratories were newly established.
His Excellency clarified the position of the construction operations in the faculty, whether they took place in the third phase or those that will take place in the fourth phase.
His Excellency briefed on the agreement of the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, with the Federation of Egyptian Industries, because it has a positive impact on the faculty, such as training and supporting students, as well as supporting the faculty's laboratories.
Then, he moved to discuss the topics on the agenda and the council's agreement to take decisions on them.
