Fulbright Egypt Opens Applications for 2027-2028 Academic Year
Fulbright Egypt, the Egyptian-American enterprise established in 1949 under a cooperation agreement between the Egyptian and U.S. governments, announces the opening of applications for Fulbright programs for Egyptian students and faculty across all humanities and scientific fields, as well as programs for American scholars and experts, for the 2027-2028 academic year. Applications run from February through May 2026. The grants include:
First: Grants for Egyptian Graduates, Faculty, and Professionals for study, research, and professional training in the United States:
• Programs for university graduates and graduate students in all fields, including Master’s grants, research and data collection grants, and joint supervision grants for PhD students.
• Programs for university faculty and researchers at research centers, covering postdoctoral research grants in all fields and MBA grants for university and research center leaders in Egypt.
• Hubert Humphrey Fellowship for professional training.
• Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program for English language teachers.
Notably, these fully funded grants cover all living expenses, health insurance, round-trip travel to and from the U.S., and tuition costs.
Second: Grants for American Students and Faculty for teaching and research in the Arab Republic of Egypt:
• Programs for American faculty.
• Program for American experts.
