A Report on a Symposium Entitled “One health we have to start”
The symposium was held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in the Graduate Studies Hall of the Faculty of Medicine, Mansoura University, at ten in the morning, in the presence of a number of specialists from the Faculties of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, and Agriculture. It is worth noting the presence and participation of Prof. Dr. Amira Yassin Heikal, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs in the symposium activities.
The topics of the “One Health We Have to Start” symposium revolved around clarifying the importance of multi-sector cooperation to reach a sustainable balance for the surrounding environment in which we live, at the local, regional and global levels, which is reflected in the positive impact on the health of people and animals and the activation of healthy ecosystems. To achieve this, there must be coordination and cooperation among specialists in the concerned authorities in this regard to achieve environmental balance that is hoped to be achieved in order to provide sound health now and for future generations.
