Today, Sunday, November 12, 2023, the activities of the first day of the visit of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education team to approve the renewal of the faculty, took place in Prof. Rashad Al-Badrawi Hall at approximately nine-thirty in the morning, in the presence of a large number of faculty members, assisting staff, and the administrative staff.

Professor Dr. Sherif Masoud Al-Badawi, interim dean of the faculty, started the meeting by welcoming the visiting team and the attendees. He, thanked Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim and his team work for the achievements that have been achieved, emphasizing the importance of exerting more effort in the coming period so that the faculty of engineering remains in its prestigious position.

Then, Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, briefly explained the history of the establishment of the Faculty of Engineering till present time, the achievements that have been made during the recent period, participation in national projects, student awards, the distinguished status of the scientific journal, community participation, the development and establishment of new laboratories, the development of auditoriums and halls, the international events and competitions that took place such as the Huawei competition, and the agreements with international universities such as: the University of Birmingham, names of responsible members of the community among the faculty’s graduates, the number of scientific departments and specific programs present in the faculty, finally members of the visiting team inspected different places, such as laboratories, auditoriums, scientific departments, and administrative offices.
