CAD - CAM and SolidWorks Companies Hold a Seminar in the Faculty of Engineering

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, and in coordination with Dr. Mohamed Sabry, Director of the University Center for Career Development, the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University hosted a seminar by Cad cam and Solidworks companies.

The seminar was held in the presence and participation of officials of both the Cad Cam company and representatives of the Solidworks company in Africa and the Middle East, a large number of faculty students from all disciplines were present, on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at twelve o'clock in the afternoon in Prof. Dr. Magdy Abu Rayan amphitheater.

The seminar began with the speech of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, where he affirmed his full support for his students which is obvious in providing them with all their needs to become professional graduates of Mansoura Engineering, keeping pace with the requirements of the regional and even global labor market. He also stressed that studying in faculties of engineering should not only be limited to academic study and equations, but students should learn how to work efficiently by paying attention to the practical side and merging with international practical and technological academies.

On the part of the company officials, it was clarified what the solidwork program is, as it is a three-dimensional application that works under the Microsoft Windows environment. This program is used by more than 2 million engineers and 160,000 companies around the world, it is a design program approved by international companies and research agencies, as well. This program is specialized in designing three-dimensional geometric figures and is easy to deal with.
It was also clarified by cad cam engineers what is meant by the term cad, which is an acronym for computer aided design, meaning computer-aided design and making modifications to the design or performing analytical operations through it, to clarify what is meant by the term CAM, which is an acronym for computer aided manufacturing, meaning computer-assisted operation, so that the programming engineer has to choose the appropriate CNC numerical control machine, then arrange the manufacturing operations, and then the operating stages.
The officials in charge of CAD-CAM also said that they provide the most powerful training programs.
