The Faculty Council No. (573) was held on Monday, October 17, 2022 at exactly ten o’clock in the morning in the conference hall of Prof. Dr. / Al-Saeed Ashour, with the application of precautionary reserves, where the council was chaired by Prof. Dr. / Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of the Vice Deans, Heads of departments, managers of specific programs and representatives of some institutions of the external community.

The session was opened by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, where His Excellency began the meeting by:

⁃ Offering words of welcome to all the attendees.

⁃ Congratulated the attendees on the occasion of the honorable Mawlid Al Nabawy, and the glorious victory of October 1973.

⁃ Extended his thanks for Prof. Dr.Abeer Tawakkol, Dr. Asmaa Al-Awadi, the supervisors of the Dragon competition for electrical transmission, Japanese University, for reaching the final qualifiers, and for engineer Ahmed Ramadan, the supervisor of the Dragon Camp and the two teams representing Mansoura University who participated in the Dargon Competition.

⁃ Briefed the audience about the nominees for the arbitration of Nasa Space App, Alexandria competition, namely: Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkol, Assistant Professor of Electronics and Communications Engineering, "Chairman of the Committee", Prof. Dr. Mohamed Moawad, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Engineering and Control Systems, "Member". Dr. Mohamed El-Qalla, a lecturer in the Department of Production and Mechanical Design “Member”, Dr. Ahmed Sameh Ashour, a lecturer in the Mechanical Production and Design Department “Member”.

⁃ Praised the Earthians team for winning the Climathon competition - 2022, in second place at the level of Africa and the Arab world, which was held at Egypt University Informatics EUI in the New Administrative Capital.

⁃ Congratulated the UPVC team for winning first place at the level of the Republic, with a prize of 100,000 pounds in the Innovation Incentive Competition of the Innovators and Gifted Welfare Fund at the Academy of Scientific Research.

⁃ Praised winning a team of students from the Department of Architecture for the first place in the Habitat Misr Forum competition for adequate housing, under the idea of ​​“My Home is an Agricultural Product.”

⁃ Congratulated faculty members, who were honored in the celebration of Science Day.

⁃ Explained what was done concerning; signing contracts for the internal assignment project to devote themselves to scientific research, providing full support to the faculty members for scientific research, obtaining funded research projects and publishing scientific research. Nine contracts were signed with faculty members from the different scientific departments of the faculty.

⁃ Mentioned the training offered by the Huawei program, for faculty students, which was carried out under the follow-up and coordination of Dr. Abeer Tawakkol, assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Communications, and director of Huawei Academy at the faculty.

⁃ Referred to the reception of the golden batch for new students class 2022-2023 for each of the mechatronics program, artificial intelligence, communications and computers program, civil engineering department, renewable energy engineering program, construction and building program, electronics and communications department, textile engineering department, Engineering Mathematics and Physics department, Biomedical Engineering Program, Electrical Engineering Department, Mechanical Power Engineering Department, Production Engineering and Mechanical Design Department, Architecture Engineering Department, Sustainable Architecture Engineering Program.

⁃ Mentioned some community participations that took place in the faculty, such as eating breakfast with members of public affairs, then on another day breakfast was eaten with members of the administrative body, then distributing the gift of the Prophet's birthday to all the faculty employees, which has a good effect on all of them.

⁃ Spoke about the position of quality works and their requirements from the scientific departments and quality programs.

⁃ Briefly mentioned a summary of the projects that will be starting.

⁃ Mentioned the history of each program and each unit of a special nature in terms of the chain of responsibility of the administration in each of them, while noting that the number of officials as directors in every place has been reduced by half, although the number of students in the programs has increased to many times the number and the size of the work of the units of a special nature It is constantly increasing.. and this paradox in reducing the number of officials is due to the use of appropriate awareness methods in addition to gaining experience associated with the sophistication of management and the correctness of instructions and guidance on an ongoing basis.

⁃ Emphasized that the actions of a faculty member are a role model and role model, and therefore all academic actions must be as they should be, and there is no alternative to that.

⁃ Then, His Excellency moved to discuss the topics on the agenda and took decisions on them with the distinguished members of the Faculty Council.
