Report on the Children's Course ( Basics of Technology, Architecture and Energy)
Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim Dean of the Faculty, supervision of Professor Dr. Sahar Sedqi vice dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and the initiative of Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakul, Associate professor of Electronics and Communications Engineering, the training course for children aged 8 to16 years old took place at the Faculty of Engineering, It was about basics of technology, architecture, and energy, from July 17th to Wednesday, 30 August 2022.
This was done within the framework of the interest in providing community services, which is one of the important axes carried out by the Faculty of Engineering, in light of taking care of education and learning, as an emphasis on acquiring skills, in the interest of a better and distinguished future based on innovation and striving forward at non-typical and unprecedented pace. Where it was taken into account to present the scientific material during explanation in an easy way suitable for the age group of children, making engineering drawings, designing and forming them manually, and taking information on clean renewable energy sources. In order to develop analytical and logical skills and laying the brick of creative thinking course was explained by faculty members, engineers and training faculty students in order to prepare the child’s mind later to invent things as a result of his prior knowledge and his mental stock of what surrounds him from the tools of modern technology, and expand his imagination of what is happening in the world of electronics, architecture and energy science, it also refines many of the child’s skills, such as the power of observation and analysis by what he sees with his eyes, removing the barrier of fear and dread from conducting manual experiments, and accustoming the child to innovation within a work team, which instills in him a spirit of participation and cooperation.
