The Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, hosted the meeting of the Engineering Sector Committee on Saturday, March 19, 2022, which was convened by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Engineering Sector Committee, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hamid Shaireh, in the presence and participation of the Deans of the Faculties of Engineering in Governmental Universities, the Directors of Military Colleges and a group of distinguished faculty members.

It is worth noting that this is the first time for the meeting to be held outside Faculty ofEngineering, Ain Shams University, within the framework of the warm reception of the honorable members of the committee, they were informed by the dean of the faculty about the developments and constructions that took place, whether in the laboratories, amphitheaters, infrastructure, establishment and construction of the giant educational student building which was allocated for an initial cost of one hundred million pounds.

His Excellency informed the attendees about the stadiums and places to practice sports within the faculty, resting places for students, as well as a theater for practicing artistic works and developing cultural activities to preserve the formation of a distinguished personality with a balanced knowledge of behavior for the faculty students.

Then all the attendees moved to the conference hall of Prof. Magdi Abu Rayan at the faculty, where the meeting of the committee was chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Shaira, who started his speech with a request to stand for a minute of silence on the death of Prof. Dr. Imad Hegazy, the professor of engineering at Ain Shams University, after which he congratulated Engineer Tariq Al-Nabarawy for winning the elections as, General President of Engineers.

Then Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, welcomed members of the committee, he spoke briefly about several issues that give a general picture of the current situation that the Faculty of Engineering has become and what is taking place in it to complete the revolution of developments which it witnessed in the recent period and what is planned, reiterating his words of thanks to all the work team at the Faculty of Engineering, stressing that the Faculty of Engineering is striving to be not only a driving force, but rather a locomotive of progress that contributes to advancing the progress of the Egyptian state and its contribution to its national development projects.

Important topics and issues received by the committee from all faculties of engineering were presented to the engineering sector committee, where that was put forward by Dr. Shaira, the head of the committee, these topics were discussed with the distinguished members of the committee, and it was agreed to take recommendations for each of these topics that were raised.

The activities of the committee meeting ended at half past two in the afternoon.
