Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, chaired the Faculty Council No. (157) for the month of November 2021, and the third session of the Council that was held in its current session for the academic  year 2021/2022.

 Prof. Dr. Abdel Azim initiated the meeting  by offering welcome and appreciation to the honorable members of the Faculty  Council for their valueless efforts.  He also extended his deep thanks and gratitude to every business owner, creator and every loyal to the entity of the Faculty of Engineering.

Prof. Abdel Azim mentioned distinguished academic symbols of the faculty honored by him, because of their remarkable achievements namely: Prof. Dr. Adel Al-Hadidi, Prof.Dr.  Mahmoud Al-Muwafaq, Prof. Dr.  Sobhi Abdel Qader, Prof.Dr.  Mohsen Ezz El-Din, Prof. Dr. Qassem Al-Alfi, Prof.Dr.  Salah Obayeh, and Prof.Dr.  Ibrahim Al-Qalla.   That is because they occupied important positions and completed the performance of their duties in a manner worthy of appreciation.

 Prof. Abdel Azim congratulated the promotions of the faculty members;  Prof.Dr. Hossam El Din Salah, Professor in the Department of ECE Engineering.   Assistant Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakkul Khalil, Assistant Professor in the Department of ECE Engineering.

 His Excellency referred to the openings of the fourth phase of the faculty’s structural development:   Mechatronics Engineering Lab, Precise Measurements Lab, Environmental Measurements Lab, the Design Build lab, Prof. Dr. Al-Saeed Ashour Hall, Prof. Magdy Abu Rayan Hall, the Training Hall,  the Administrative Headquarters for the inter-programs for postgraduate studies , Chess Court, Fab Lab, Medical Devices Workshop, Mechanical Testing Lab, Hydraulic Machinery Lab, Physics Complex, Chemistry Complex, and  ESU Lab.

Prof. Abdel Azim  praised the faculty's rank according to the US NEWS classification.  He  mentioned  the dates of visits to the rest of the programs of NAQAAE.  His Excellency mentioned the works that are about to be completed and opened next January, such as: the Heavy Facilities Lab, Satellite lab, Wireless Communications Lab, Solar Energy Lab, Transport and Traffic Lab, Upgrades to the Roads and Airports Lab, Modern Control  Lab and Water Quality Lab .

 His Excellency honored: Prof. Dr. Ahmed Youssef for his tenure as Head of the Structural Engineering Department, Prof.Dr.  Ahmed Hamed for his tenure as Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Prof.Dr.  Hisham Arafat for his tenure and his efforts, wishing him success in the future.

The meeting of the Faculty Council was honored by the presence of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basit, President of Mansoura University, where his Excellency began his speech by offering great appreciation to Prof.Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim and the teaching staff of the Faculty of Engineering for their great efforts inside and outside Mansoura University.
