The Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program, in collaboration with the Electrical Engineering Department, organized the distinguished scientific event "Energy Day."
In line with the Faculty of Engineering at Mansoura University's commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and bridging classroom learning with real-world applications in electricity and renewable energy, the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program teamed up with the Electrical Engineering Department to host the standout "Energy Day" event. It took place on Sunday, February 9, 2026, in Professor Dr. Rashad El-Badrawi's Hall, starting at 10 a.m., with a strong turnout of faculty and students.
The event unfolded under the patronage of Prof. Sherif Massoud El-Badawy, Dean of the Faculty, and in the presence of Prof. Mohamed Hassan Mansour, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Sahar Sedki Qaddah, Coordinator of the Programs; and under the supervision of Prof. Abdel Fattah Ali El-Adl, Executive Director of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program.
The day's activities featured two standout scientific lectures delivered by top experts in the energy sector. Engineer Asim Karim, General Manager of Operations and Maintenance at TotalEnergies, presented a talk titled "Developing Renewable Energy Projects in the Arab Republic of Egypt." He shared practical insights and best practices for implementing and operating renewable energy projects, while discussing key challenges, opportunities, and their role in supporting sustainable development and Egypt Vision 2030 goals.
Engineer Ahmed Youns, an expert in low- and medium-voltage networks and a specialist in building and operating electrical power systems, delivered a lecture titled "Shaping the Career Path for Electrical Engineers." It covered job market demands, essential technical and professional skills for electrical engineers, and strategies for building a successful career in the electricity and renewable energy sectors.
The event sparked lively engagement from students and attendees, wrapping up with group photos to capture the occasion. It all happened in an inspiring academic atmosphere that highlights the faculty and program's dedication to meaningful academic activities, skill-building for students, and preparing them for the job market in electricity and renewable energy.
