The Annual Grant Application is now open for "For Women in Science" program.
The program aims to support and strengthen the participation of young female researchers across scientific fields within the Arab Republic of Egypt by honoring outstanding women scientists and encouraging them to continue their research careers.
The program covers the following fields:
- Life sciences: biology, biochemistry, biophysics, genetics, physiology, neuroscience, biotechnology, ecology, behavioral science.
- Physical sciences: physics, chemistry, petroleum engineering, mathematics, engineering sciences, information sciences, earth and space sciences.
Each year three distinguished young Egyptian women researchers are selected and honored in recognition of their scientific contributions and to encourage them to pursue leading research careers. The grant also provides exceptional opportunities for female university and institute students in Egypt, enhances their international standing, and supports the development of a new generation of women scientists in Egypt.
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be graduates of science faculties in the fields listed above.
- Applicants pursuing a PhD must be no older than 35 years.
- Postdoctoral applicants must be no older than 45 years.
Application deadline: July 2026.
