Activities of the Visit of the Technical Committee, laboratories of the Spinning and Weaving Engineering Department, to the Carpet Factories in Damanhour and Alexandria

Within the framework of the directions of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Technical Laboratory and Scientific Services Center, to work on developing and improving the services provided by the Center to its clients and the speed of completion of reports and test results.

The Technical Committee of the Spinning and Weaving Engineering Department moved to the headquarters of carpet factories in Damanhour, and the Factories Branch in Alexandria, on Saturday 01/10/2022 and 08/10/2022 to perform the necessary tests for the machines based on a request submitted by the Director General of the Factories to make the necessary inspection in addition to preparing a report to speculate about some of the machines that stopped working in the factories and to determine their efficiency and its economic feasibility.

It is worth noting that the technical committee formed to perform the required tests includes: "Prof. Dr. / Abdul Latif Al-Husseini, Prof. Dr. / Ismail Rakha, Ass. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sami Mustafa, and Ass. Prof. Dr. / Ali Fawzy Saqr" in the Department of Spinning and Weaving Engineering, the inspection and examination took place in the presence of Mr. Mohamed Fayez, the director of the factories, and the engineering management officials there.

The field visit to the company comes within the center’s action plan towards documenting effective interdependence between the university and the community and helping to provide appropriate Egyptian technology by using the faculty’s technical, laboratory scientific capabilities and expertise to interact with the current and future engineering needs of the university and society, as well as expanding the circle of clients at the level of all institutions and sectors.
