As part of its ongoing efforts to promote and encourage scientific research and innovation, the Scientific Research Support Unit at the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, took part in a television interview on the Egyptian Al-Delta Channel. The interview featured an overview of the unit’s main roles and activities aimed at serving faculty members and researchers within the faculty.
The discussion highlighted the Internal Fund Project, which has contributed to strengthening research collaboration among research teams across various departments and increasing the rate of high-quality scientific publications in prestigious international journals. References were also made to several research projects funded by distinguished local and international funding agencies.
The interview further showcased the advanced research services offered by the unit, most notably the Numerical Computatios Laboratory, which provides high-performance computing facilities that enable researchers to carry out advanced simulation studies free of charge for faculty affiliates.
The segment also shed light on the regular workshops and training lectures organized by the unit, covering diverse topics such as artificial intelligence tools in scientific research, scientific writing and international publishing, and application mechanisms for competitive research grants funded by leading national and international organizations. These include the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, the Science, Technology & Innovation Funding Authority (STDF), the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).
The interview concluded by reaffirming that the unit’s goals focus on enhancing the faculty’s position in both global and subject-specific university rankings, supporting the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, and aligning with Egypt’s Vision 2030 toward a knowledge-based, innovative, and sustainable society.
