The supreme council for universities decided on 25th Feb. 2017 in the session No. 659 the following:

1. For university staff applying for promotion from universities abiding by the universities law No. 49 and its execution regulation for the year 1972.
2. For university staff applying for promotion from universities and academies abiding by the universities law No49. and its execution regulation for the year 1972
