The Postgraduate Studies and Research Sector at Mansoura University started accepting funding applications for the competitive research projects from the STDF in the following research areas:

1. Bio medical science (Genetics, Cancer research, NanoTechnology, and Stem Cells)
2. Water Treatment and Renewable Energy
3. Space Research.

The submitted projects must be practical and applied leading to a final product that can be marketed.

Conditions of Application and How to Apply:

1. Through submitting an online application to the STDF or to the Deputy President for Postgraduate Studies and Research of Mansoura University
2. Identify the Principal investigator and his contact details to discuss the project if needed
3. The project timeline should be no more than two years which can be extended to three years under certain strict and special circumstances.
4. The Principal investigator cannot be a principal investigator in another project in Mansoura University during the period of the project.
5. More than one department or one faculty can collaborate in the same project.
6. The project must be state of the art and was not implemented before.
7. The project team should be no less than three members
8. The chosen projects are presented to the management committee of STDF to approve the funding.
9. An announcement of the winning projects is made and funding is provided.
