Mansoura Engineering Team Wins Third Place in Engineering Leaders Competition after competing with 41 teams in the first phase from various engineering faculties in Egyptian universities to achieve sustainability on Block 1 in the Art Life Project in New Giza.

In the context of the efforts of international organizations and companies to improve the water desalination and reuse sector, the Saudi company TSG-EXICON, the German company Expotec International GmbH, the BVMW representative office in Egypt, and the Egyptian Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) announced the establishment of an exceptional pioneering partnership that contributes to improving the water desalination and reuse sector.
This partnership comes within the framework of organizing the 13th Regional Conference on Desalination and Water Reuse, which is one of the initiatives of the Arab Desalination Association ARWADEX. The first event of its kind in Egypt, an international conference and exhibition specialized in presenting future technology for electric vehicles of all types, with international participation from the United States of America and the United Arab Emirates.
The event will be held at the Egypt International Exhibition Center from October 10 to 12, 2024, (EIEC) HALL3, under the auspices of the Egyptian Prime Minister, the Ministry of Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade, the Arab Organization for Industrialization, the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones, the General Authority for Export and Import Control, the National Authority for Management and Investment, and the Internal Trade Development Authority, as part of the state's plan to achieve carbon neutrality and enhance the involvement of economic entities in carbon emission reduction activities, and achieve steps towards a more sustainable future in line with Egypt's Vision 2030.

Prof. Dr. Sherif Masoud El-Badawy, Interim Dean of the Faculty, congratulates "Mansoura Robotics" team for winning second place in the local qualifiers for the largest green and sustainable projects competitions in the world, thus representing the Arab Republic of Egypt in the qualifiers at the level of the continents of Asia and Africa, with the VERTECHX project, which is a smart vertical greenhouse that aims to increase the productivity of agricultural lands, especially those specialized in exporting their products to the European Union, in addition to reducing their consumption of chemicals, which improves the quality of agricultural production.
This was done under the supervision of Assoc. Prof.Mahmoud Mohamed Saafan, Department of Computer Engineering and Control Systems, and with the participation of students from various departments in the faculty, namely: Mohamed Khaled Anis, Mahmoud Ibrahim Abdel Aziz, Abdel Rahman Ahmed Shafik, Yahya Mohamed Al-Ajami, Youssef Ahmed Al-Ghammaz, Muhand Tawfiq, Mohamed Rizk, Omar Soleiman, Ziad Osama, Youssef Taher, Mohamed Al-Janaini, Karim Ashraf.
