Online Workshop: "Preparing for International Accreditation"
As part of the Faculty of Engineering's ongoing efforts to expand international accreditation for its academic programs and strengthen the faculty's readiness to meet global accreditation standards and requirements—and in line with the Quality Assurance Unit's plan to support this direction—
The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Engineering organized an online workshop on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, titled: "Preparing for International Accreditation."
The workshop was presented by Assoc. Prof. Asmaa Ali Al-Awady, from the Mechanical Engineering Department and Director of the College's Center of Excellence for Energy. She covered several key topics related to international accreditation requirements and preparation mechanisms, including the role of academic programs and faculty members in preparing and documenting supporting evidence and reports in accordance with international standards.
The session also included discussions on the most important practices and procedures that help raise the readiness of academic programs for international accreditation, alongside emphasis on the need for integration among all components of the educational process to ensure achievement of the required quality standards.
