• Electronics and communication engineering dept. had been founded in 1977 at the era of Prof. Doc/Mohammed Rashad Albdrawey the dean of faculty of engineering, and prof. doc/ Abd elmonem elbdrawey the university president; and prof. doc/ Rashad eladawey held the first position of leading the electronic and communication department.
• The department located in front of the faculty's buildings, specially block number3 on the lift side of the main gate of the faculty.
• The department building consists of three upper floors and the ground.
• The ground floor contains tow halls each one space can be suffice for 200 students. The first floor contains teaching halls.
