In continuation of the distinguished work system and the continuous planning of the work team at Mansoura University in various fields, the student Amir Muhammad Shtayyeh, a student at the Faculty of Engineering - Mansoura University, achieved third place at the level of the Republic in the National Huawei Competition, which was held at the level of the Republic at the beginning of this year. Where the student, Amir Shtayyeh, represented the Huawei Academy at the Faculty of Engineering - Mansoura University in the competition held during the current month, he ranked third in addition to being among the best 24 students in Egypt. So, Amir will have the honor of representing the Arab Republic of Egypt in the regional competition that will be held during the month of February, and this is nothing but evidence of his hard work and dedication. The university is proud of Amir’s achievement in all local and international competitions. This success is the result of the Huawei Training Academy, which began to bear fruit with hard work among students at the Faculty of Engineering - Mansoura University, headed by the Director of the Academy, Prof. Dr. Abeer Tawakul, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering. It is worth noting that the number of universities participating in the local competition reached 60 universities.
It is worth noting that the ICT Competition is a competition presented by Huawei ICT Academy, it is a global competition, which takes place at the global level, in communications and technology, with the aim of obtaining the best talents in these fields, highlighting them, and caring for them.
The competition consists of four phases: (1) a placement exam, with nearly 10,000 students participating in it, (2) the national exam at the level of the Republic, in which 250 students participated, (3) the regional exam, for which 24 students were nominated,finally (4) ) The global exam, and 9 students will participate in it in the last stage. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the faculty, signs a cooperation protocol with Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ibrahim Al-Saeed, Dean of Delta Higher Institute for Engineering and Technology.
Cooperation protocols carried out by the Faculty of Engineering are considered one of the strategic goals and main pillars that the faculty plays as a community role towards institutions, external community, in addition to the benefit of faculty students, researchers and alumni.

The Science, Technology and Innovation Funding Authority (STDF) announces that applications are now open for the second call for financing graduate students (Masters - PhD) with the aim of stimulating and advancing scientific research, building the capabilities of young researchers in scientific fields and preparing cadres capable of raising the level of scientific research in Egypt.
General terms of the call: Funding the best research plans for Egyptian scholars enrolled in postgraduate studies in scientific faculties in Egyptian universities for a period of no more than two years for master’s students and no more than three years for doctoral students, provided that the preliminary study for the degree is completed in advance.
Support can be done as follows:
Financing master's students up to a maximum of 250,000 Egyptian pounds.
Funding for doctoral students up to 350,000 Egyptian pounds.
Application deadline: February 13, 2023 - 2:00 p.m.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, the vice-deans, the Student Union of the Faculty of Engineering, all students and the administrative staff were deeply saddened by the news of the death of the student Ibrahim Hani, who passed away today. Our heartfelt condolences to his family and colleagues.
Within the framework of fruitful and constructive scientific research cooperation between the Military Technical College and the esteemed Faculty of Engineering, with the aim of strengthening this cooperation, the Military Technical College is honored to invite specialized researchers to participate and enrich the activities of the “20th International Scientific Conference on Aerospace Sciences and Aviation Technology (ASAT-20)”, at the Military Technical College, May 9 - 11, 2023, Cairo, Egypt.

Faculty Council No. (576) was held on Monday, January 16, 2023, in the presence of the faculty vice deans, heads of departments, directors of specific programs, and representatives of some external community institutions.
The session was opened by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, where his excellency started the meeting by:
⁃ Welcoming Prof. Dr. Zaki Zaidan, former Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and former Dean of the faculty and all distinguished members of the Faculty Council.
⁃ Confirming that the university's construction projects are being implemented according to the time plan previously set for them, and there is no obstruction in implementation.
⁃ Offering words of condolence on the death of Ibrahim Hani, a student in the production department, who passed away on January 7.
⁃ Congratulating the promotion of Dr. John Fayez to Assistant Professor, Department of Computers and Systems Engineering, and Dr. Mohamed Gouda El Kalla, to Assistant Professor, Department of Production Engineering and Mechanical Design.
⁃ Congratulating Prof. Dr. Sherif Kishk for being nominated as the Assistant Minister of Communications for Governance.
⁃ Congratulating Ms. Rania Fouad, Director of the Scientific Journal, for her contribution to the distinction of the journal and the launch of the journal's new website on the platform of the international publishing house Elsevier.
