The party was held in Prof. Saeed Ashour hall to celebrate her retirement and thank her for her efforts over the years of working at the university. The celebration was attended by Prof. Mohamed Elsaeed and Mrs. Madeeha Ismail.

A large number of colleagues attended the celebration and she was handed the appreciation certificate and took may pictures.

In a spirit of a family, the faculty of engineering is organizing a public IFTAR for all the staff of the faculty under the sponsorship of Prof. Mohamed Elsaeed; dean of the faculty. The dean was in reception of a large number of staff, employees and students. In the spirit of communication and affiliation which positively affects the general performance.

The treasurer of the Prize announces that they are accepting applications for 2017/2018 in the following topics:

1. Literature and Art topics: Complete Caricature
2. Science: Applied research in Nanotechnology for agriculture production

The product must be:

1. Original, unique and shows an added benefit to the field.
2. Described or translated into Arabic
3. The product must not have won any prior prizes
4. The applicant must be resident or national of an Arab country.
5. Individuals are promoted to the prize through their organizations.

General instructions:

1. 5 copies of the nominated work must be sent to the prize office at bigger Oman
2. The products are not returned to the owners whether they win or not.
3. The applicant must sign a statement that the nominated work did not win any previous prizes.
4. The applicant must fill the application in consultation with the prize office.

The prize is composed of:

1. A certificate in the name of the winner
2. 20k used prize
3. A golden shield with the name of the prize on it

The faculty of engineering, at Mansoura University congratulates Prof. Ibrahim Ibrahim Ali Elsharkawy a prof. of Mechanical Engineering for being awarded the country award in engineering sciences and we wish him all the best in the future.

All students who attended military education in all the study years except the 4th year should visit the student affairs office to register the course they attended. Whoever will not go to register will be considered as failing the course and he will have to redo it. The deadline is till 14th June 2017

In a very sympathetic, generous, and kind initiative, Prof. Mohamed Elsaeed gave a speech in commemoration of Prof. Maher Abdel Razik the vice dean for society and environment on 23^rd of May 2017. Prof. Abdel Razik died on 6^th of May 2017. Prof. Mohamed handed the faculty shield to his son Doctor Mohamed Maher in return for the effort and achievement by Prof. Maher for the faculty and department service.

It is worth noting that the speech was after a PhD thesis viva in the department of Communication Engineering.
