⁃ Preparing a design for a unified paint for homes in villages affiliated with the "Haya Karima" initiative in Dakahlia Governorate.

⁃ Choosing the suitable building materials for the environment.

⁃ Choosing the appropriate color codes for the nature of the place.

The first, second and third winners of each category will receive financial prizes as follows:

•First place: 1000 pounds
•Second place: 700 pounds
•Third place: 500 pounds

I have the honor to report that the Supreme Council of Universities discussed in its session held on 25/10/2021, the follow-up to the vaccination process against the emerging corona virus in Egyptian Universities, and the Council decided to emphasize the universities with the following:

1. Continuing the daily follow-up to the process of vaccinating all elements of the educational system against the corona virus, in implementation of the directives and assignments issued in this regard and the decisions of the Crisis Committee, to limit the spread of the Corona virus in universities, with the review and scrutiny of universities for students’ position on vaccination starting from the 1st of next November. Emphasizing that students are not allowed to enter the university campus after November 15, except after submitting a certificate proving that they have obtained the vaccine, and in the event that the student does not receive the vaccine, s/he can perform a “PCR” analysis that s/he submits weekly.
2. Full compliance with the decisions of the Crisis Committee, with regard to not allowing employees of state institutions to enter their headquarters, starting from November 15, except for those who have received the vaccination against the Corona virus.

3. The need for universities to continue to apply all precautionary measures, and to adhere to social distancing for all those inside the university campus, as well as to intensify disinfection and sterilization operations for rooms, classrooms, laboratories and various faculty buildings; and applying the same procedures in university dorms, to ensure the safety of all elements of the educational system.

The Second Annual Conference of the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University. Celebrating the Harvest of Achievements, and the development of laboratories. The Government Excellence Conference with its distinction over competition among 468 distinguished faculties at the level of the country. It’s on confronting Corona Virus, supporting national projects, supporting engineering Projects for the Education Sectors and Mansoura University Hospitals. A conference honoring the distinguished faculty, supporting staff and members of the administrative staff.

The annual conference is an embodiment to the great achievements that have been made since Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim took over the Deanship of the Faculty of Engineering. Achievements that resulted from effort and brain storming Achievements that are motivated by the desire to continue excellence and push forward for what is good for the benefit of students, the faculty, the university, and our great country Egypt.

In order to activate this great event, the activities of the conference were launched today, Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in the conference hall of the faculty, where the celebration ceremony began, during which honors were awarded by Professor Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, dean of the faculty, prof. Dr. Mohamed Al Mahdy, vice dean for students affairs, and Prof. Dr. Sahar Sidky, vice dean for community service and environmental development.

The annual conference ceremony ended with presenting certificates of honor and taking photos at about three thirty in the afternoon.

A recommendation to the deans of engineering faculties at government universities affiliated to the Engineering Studies Sector Committee to review the e-learning management platform designed through the project:
(Innovative Lifelong e-Learning for Professional Engineers.), funded by the European Union Program for the Development of Education (ERASMUS +) in partnership with Ain Shams University, the National Nile University and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and in cooperation with many European universities in the manufacture of a number of electronic courses in the field of engineering (civil - electrical - mechanical) in addition to a number of other electronic courses in the fields of (sustainable development - engineering skills - entrepreneurship), with the aim of developing the skills of graduates of engineering faculties, through the website:

• A remarkable day at the Faculty of Engineering, Tuesday, 26 October 2021. A day full of bright and shining achievements. The fruits of brainstorming, sincere and distinguished efforts were reaped. A day that witnessed the love of the entity. It has also witnessed the follow-up, and unlimited support from Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, who masters the art of management and accuracy of performance follow-up. The achievements proved his loyalty to where he belongs. He realized that nothing is impossible with the will, desire and the availability of capabilities and sincere intentions.
• He confirmed that the love of the entity is reflected as actions and achievements, not as words or empty slogans. One of the remarkable achievements of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim and his distinguished team work, that will always be a landmark in the history of The Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University.
• Tuesday, October 26, 2021 /19 Rabi' Al-Awwal 1443 AH, the day of the opening of the fourth phase of structural development at the Faculty of Engineering , Mansoura University, the great day of achievements in the history of the faculty.
• The activities of the celebration ceremony of the opening were launched in honor of the presence and participation of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basit, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty in the Conference Hall.
• The opening was in the presence and participation of the faculty’s vice-deans, laboratories’ directors, members of the Board of Directors, a number of members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, and a number of industrialists, with media coverage from a number of satellite channels, radio and a number of well known newspapers.
• Prof. Dr. / Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty gave a quick presentation about the achievements that will be opened, then Prof. Dr. Ashraf Abdel Basset, President of the University, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Faculty of Engineering, and to the attendees. The opening round began, starting with the passage to the Physics Complex, the Chemistry Complex, the Robotics lab, the Precision Measurements lab, the Medical Devices lab, the Mechanical Testing lab, ESU Lab, Design Build lab and Fab Lab. Opening of the three-dimensional chess court and Passage to the hydraulic machines lab.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering is always eager to support and follow up the various departments of the faculty to have a comprehensive overview of what they need. He attended and participated in the annual conference of the Department of Public Works Engineering, with the participation of Prof. Dr. Muharram Fouad, the head of the department, the faculty members and the assistant staff in the department.

Important topics about science and latest technologies have been discussed. Prof. Abdel Azim stressed the importance of this field, especially in the implementation of national projects and sustainable development. The meeting ended with taking several recommendations that would further advance the department and provide a great service to the outside community worthy of the name of the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University.

The Quality Assurance Unit, Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, organized a training course entitled “Self-Evaluation of Higher Education Institutions”, on Sunday 24/10/2021. It lasted two days. The aim of the course is to qualify and train the faculty’s administrative staff in the field of education quality assurance and accreditation.

The organization of this course is part of a series of training courses organized by the administration of the Faculty of Engineering under the guidance of the Dean of the Faculty Prof. Dr. / Mohamed Abdel Azim, to qualify and train the administrative staff in the various fields required to develop the work of the faculty.

Within the framework of the keenness of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, to cooperate, participate, integrate and exchange  experiences, whether with the university institutions or the institutions of the external community, in order to achieve the public interest.   He signed a cooperation protocol with the Faculty of Dentistry, Mansoura University, on Monday, February 1, 2021 in his office.

• • Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, Director of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program, held an orientation party on Tuesday26,10 ,2021, to receive and honor the students of the program in the hall of Prof. Dr. Rashad El Badrawy, where she introduced the program and gave general information about it.
  • Prof. Dr. Sahar advised the students to be keen on acquiring the necessary skills and learning how to self-educate. Prof. Sahar also emphasized that the program administration will do its best for the interest of the students to raise their level so that it meets and conforms the requirements and needs of the external labor market.
  • This is achieved through certain steps as: selecting distinguished faculty members to teach in the program, having follow-up visits to renewable energy plants and fields and providing specialized equipped laboratories in the faculty suitable for this field, such as, (The Solar Energy Lab - Electrical Machine labs (A), (B) - The Electrical Circuits Lab- Electrical Protection Lab - Mechanical Power Lab - Combustion Lab - Fuel Lab - Fluid Lab- Hydraulic Machinery Lab - Cooling Lab and Air Conditioning - Gas Plant.)
  • Prof. Sahar spoke about the academic requirements of the program, the appointment of a deputy director and an academic advisor for the program from the faculty members, in order to facilitate communication and follow-up with the students.
  • Then Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, General Coordinator of Specific Programs, spoke, where he pointed out the importance of the role of the graduates of the program in the future and the adoption of the international plan on them as a main axis and this is evident in the sustainable plan 2030 as renewable energy sources will not end.
  • Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim, Dean of the Faculty, gave his speech at the ceremony by welcoming all the attendees and the students of the program, offering them sincere congratulations on their success in choosing the renewable and sustainable energy engineering program because it is the field of the future and the basis for the independence of countries.
  • Prof. Abdel Azim stressed the fact that the faculty is keen on graduating distinguished engineers who are qualified for the labor market. He also indicated that the engineer in the labor market must develop his scientific level and the skills he has acquired in order to keep pace with the information revolution that we live in. The continuous support of the faculty administration to the students of the program, such as organizing trips, was also emphasized. A free scientific study for a renewable energy plant in order to view the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of renewable energy plants is available.
  • At the end of the ceremony, the Dean of the Faculty and the Director of the Program honored the three outstanding students, giving them certificates of honor in order to motivate them to continue their excellence.

The Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University, has obtained the Government Excellence Award, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Azim and the hard work of its staff and employees. The award was granted by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, among the top ten out of 488 faculties that applied for the competition.
