Prof. Mohamed El-Kenawy , President of Mansoura University honored Dr. Mohamed Awad , Lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering and Winner of the silver medal for his invention of a solar powered mobile device to extract water from the air using a moisture-absorbing solution.

He, also honored the student\ Ahmed El-Gendy, the winner of the bronze medal for his invention of the Integrated internal combustion engine.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Ashraf Abdel Basset, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, Prof. Azza Ismail, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Amr Gabr, manager of TICO and Prof. Ahmed Fekry, manager of the International Grants Office.
It is worth mentioning that Mansoura University has won the silver and bronze medal at the Geneva International Innovation Fair in Switzerland where it participated with two invention, the first invention by a member of faculty staff and the second by a student of the faculty
The Academy of Scientific Research and Technology offers annual opportunities for Egyptian inventors to participate and interact at the Geneva International Innovation Fair,
Prof. Khalid Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, honored the participating team who represented Egypt in the exhibition for their performance. According to the official result received from the exhibition management which was announced by the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Mansoura University won two prizes.
TICO has contributed in Supporting innovators and registering their patents.

Within the framework of cooperation and community participation between the scientific leader: Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University and external civil society institutions, a meeting was held between the Faculty of Engineering and the Dakahlia Water and Sewage Company on Monday, April 3, 2017 to discuss facets of cooperation between the two institutions to activate the existing cooperation protocol.

The Faculty of Engineering continues to play its leading role in transferring its distinguished research and information expertise to all industrial and service areas in its regional scope.

In the meeting, the cooperation frameworks between the college and the company were discussed below:
First: Participation in training:
Due to the excellent laboratory capabilities that exist at the company, it has been agreed to train students and graduates, and to benefit from it through graduation projects.
Second: Joint Scientific Research:
It was agreed to identify the research topics jointly between the faculty and the company according to the nature of the service work on which the company is based.
Third: Making use of available research of the faculty:
By informing the company of all the results achieved by the scientific research in the faculty and related to the nature of the Water Company business.

The students visited the faculty on Sunday, 19 March 2017 at 12 noon at the hall of Prof. Dr. Said Ashour. This was under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed El Said, Dean of faculty and Prof. Maher Abdel Razzak, Vice Dean for Community Service Affairs and Prof.  Abdo Abdel Fattah, Head of Production Engineering and Mechanical Design department who gave a lecture on" Nanotechnology Smart materials ". After explaining the lecture,  students were given the opportunity to ask questions and queries. The meeting ended at about 3:30 pm.

Postgraduate Studies Sector of Engineering Faculty announces that University Postgraduate Sector will hold an introductory seminar on how to create a profile for faculty staff and their assistants on the following systems.

This will be held at the Faculty of Engineering on 26/4/2017 at 10:00 am

Treasurer of the Supreme Council of Universities received the book of the Assistant General Treasurer of the Egyptian National Committee for Education and Culture regarding the Sumait Prize for African Development in 2017. The prize is presented by Kuwait institution for the Advancement of Sciences. The award is awarded to individuals and institutions.

The purpose of the award is to evaluate and select the best scientific research, innovative studies, and projects that had a significant and sustainable impact in the progress of economic and social development in Africa. The award can be awarded to projects that have provided solutions to African countries to overcome poverty, hunger, lack of potable water, loss of justice, improved health care, literacy, and the rational allocation of economic resources. The award highlights success in the following areas:

Food security, health and education

The National Council for the adoption of the "Aajak" decided to grant road and airport engineering laboratory accreditation of some mechanical tests of soil and paving materials. This wasAfter the approval of Credentials Committee on 15/3/2017,and until the end of the accreditation cycle for four years.

Articles number (9, 10, 39) of the new Postgraduate Studies Regulations adopted on 31/10/2016 have been updated. The first text of Article (9), the first and second items of Article (10) Will be applied as of 09/01/2017

The Arab Institute for Research and Studies announces the application for nomination to its annual "Arab Youth" prize for the year 2017. The subject of the prize is: (Arab national security ... Also, Engineering projects and post graduates programs were displayed .This event aims to mix Arab cultures, Asian and African cultures with the Egyptian one .

UNESCO started accepting nomination applications for the UNESCO Prize in Education for Girls and Women.

Each year, the Award is awarded to two top winners with outstanding contributions to the education of girls and women. The value of the award is (50,000 USD) fifty thousand dollars.

Dakahlya Engineers Syndicate offers a seminar that is entitled" Communications and its impact on the contemporary challenges." . Prof. Hatim Zaghloul , the inventor of WIFI and Technology & Industry Expert cultured the symposium . This will be on Wednesday, 22/3/2017, at twelve o'clock noon until two o'clock in the afternoon.
