Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, congratulates his sons, students of the faculty of engineering, with all pride for winning 23 graduation projects to solve the problems of the external community, at a value of one million pounds, provided by the Science and Technological Development Fund of the Academy of Scientific Research to finance graduation projects for university students, which achieve Egypt’s vision 2030 and help provide solutions to problems facing the community, creating a kind of integration between the university and the community.
The Fulbright Commission announces the opening of application for Fulbright programs for Egyptian students and professors in all scientific and literary fields, as well as programs for American experts and professors for the academic year 2024/2025, which include granting Egyptian graduates, professors, and professionals to study, conduct research, and vocational training in the United States of America. These scholarships are fully funded and cover all expenses for accommodation, health insurance, and travel to the United States of America, in addition to tuition fees.
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, met on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at nine in the morning, with the employees, engineers, and administrators of the Studies Center. The Head of Legal Affairs and a representative of the Computing Unit of the faculty were also invited to attend. Prof. Dr. Abdel- Azim provided guidance regarding the completion of the documentary procedures for each operation, whether financially or administratively, in the appropriate legal way. At the end of the meeting, His Excellency listened to the attendees regarding the implementation of engineering operations, where he provided some clarifications and interventions by contacting some other parties at the time of the meeting to overcome some obstacles and speed up the performance efficiently and seriously.

The Faculty of Engineering celebrated the 15 th of Shaaban, two sheikhs from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif were invited to deliver a short religious speech, where they referred to the great virtues of the holy month, as our deeds are raised to Allah, in this special occasion, we must pray for Allah to forgive us. We should take full advantage of tho month leading to Ramadan. A large number of the administrative staff, support services and a number of students of the faculty attended the celebration. A question- answer session took place. The celebration of this fragrant memory was concluded by listening to religious music, chanting and supplications.

The Faculty Council No. (578) was held on Monday, March 13, 2023, at exactly ten o’clock in the morning, in Prof. Dr. Rashad El-Badrawy’s Conference Hall, where the Council was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the faculty, and in the presence of the faculty vice-deans, heads of departments, directors of programs and representatives of some institutions of the external community.
The session was opened by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty where His Excellency:
-Started the meeting by offering words of welcome to all the attendees.
-Stressed the importance of performing the work as it should be in the fullest form, and that the outputs of the work be in a decent manner, he said that work for him is not a way of life, but rather life itself.
-Offered words of condolences, each in his name, to the faculty members who passed away.
-Congratulated Dr. Marwa Atef on being promoted to Assistant Professor in the Department of Architectural Engineering.
-Clarified some organizational matters and instructions for the university, such as adherence to the schedule of lectures, commitment to paying expenses, updating the data of the faculty members in the files and on the website, and the accuracy of conducting electronic exams
-Confirmed with regard to the assignment of faculty members that it is not permissible to take two salaries from two parties at the same time, it will never be allowed to take a salary from the main work and a second salary from the agency to which he is delegated.
-Presented the handwritten request submitted by Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Jar Al-Alam, the former dean of the faculty, in which he requests that names of the symbols of the faculty be given to some halls, auditoriums, or laboratories, so the council agreed to form a committee of the three oldest members of the council to study the request.
-Explained how to work on further development of the scientific journal, as well as what has been done with regard to the international publication of scientific sections.
-Praised funding the (23) winning graduation projects, for students of Mansoura University from the Academy of Scientific Research.
-Presented what took place in some religious and national events celebrations within the faculty in the recent period, such as: the Sports Day, the celebration of the night of the middle of Sha`ban, and hosting a symposium on combating corruption.
-Briefed the attendees about the Arizona Energy Excellence Agreement and the advantages achieved by the parties to the agreement.
-Mentioned the exchange of delegations of students and research visits that took place between the Faculty of Engineering, Mansoura University and the Academy of Air Defense.
-Explained the scientific and research cooperation protocol between the Chemical Warfare Department of the Armed Forces and Mansoura University.
-Supported the activation of the cooperation protocol with the Clothing and Textiles Unit, offering his full support for activating this protocol, saying, that Mansoura engineering, has two advantages that must be exploited in this matter: the former is the Department of Spinning and Textile Engineering does not exist except in Mansoura Engineering and Alexandria Engineering, the latter is that Mansoura is located in an agricultural governorate, so this must be exploited, not to mention the direction of the Egyptian state in revitalizing this strategic industry.
-Referred to holding the ceremony of golden jubilee, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the faculty.
-In honor and appreciation of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud El-Gamal, he was invited to participate in granting certificates of honor to:

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedky, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, a delegation from the Electrical Engineering Department visited Bedo Factory for Engineering and Technical Educational Equipment in the Industrial Zone of 6th of October City on Thursday, March 2nd. 2023 at ten o'clock in the morning, in response to the invitation from the factory to the faculty, the delegation was headed by Prof. Akram Al-Metwally, Head of the Electrical Engineering Department, and the delegation included: Dr. Mahmoud Hamouda, Dr. Mohamed El Gohary Hassan, Eng. Asmaa Abu Al-Ezz, members of the faculty of the Electrical Engineering Department, in addition to a number of students of the department. The delegation made tours inside the factory with the company's reception team to find out about the latest equipment and various manufacturing methods that characterize the factory. The factory is characterized by the presence of a team of engineers specialized in research and development to produce various electronic equipment and devices with international quality. A team from the factory provided a detailed explanation of the parts of the factory and its various products, they responded to the various inquiries and questions of faculty members and students.

Today, Thursday, March 2, 2023, under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Sherif Khater, President of Mansoura University, the leadership of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim, Dean of the Faculty, and the supervision and coordination of Prof. Dr. Sahar Sedqi, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development and Director of the Renewable and Sustainable Energy Engineering Program, a delegation from The University of Arizona visited the Faculty of Engineering, it is composed of the coordinator of the University of Arizona Energy Agreement, prof. Sayfe Kiaei and
Clark Miller, Professor of Energy at the University of Arizona.
The activities of the delegation's visit began at exactly ten o'clock in the morning, where a protocol meeting was held with His Excellency Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Azim and the faculty administration, they discussed research projects, student exchange, and the next steps of the agreement. Then they moved to the Pioneers' meeting room, where Prof. Clark Miller delivered a lecture on "How to Increase Energy Efficiency and its Relationship to Well-Being" where a large number of faculty members and students attended, then prof. Sayfe Kiaei met with students and faculty members, where she answered students' inquiries about student exchange. The delegation visited a number of the faculty's laboratories related to the agreement and discussed how to benefit from the agreement to develop the laboratories.
Then the visiting delegation left the faculty at about 2:30 in the afternoon.
